“Paris with my wife”
The room was much smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. It was not possible to shower without making a mess. A very good breakfast, a good location for Metro and site seeing
“Good location and value for money!”
Although there was refurbishment going on downstairs this did not really disrupt our stay. We had booked a wheelchair accessible room, and it was although compact it was big enough, it was clean. Breakfast was great good value and good choice. Staff were helpful. Location was good. We would happily stay again.
“Can"t wait to go back”
Very clean, large for Paris, room with very attentive check-in staff. Bathroom may be a little small for some people but did not inconvenience my wife or I at all. Extremely close to Metro station which gets you around Paris very easily. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from and 4 computers offering free internet if you did not have a laptop to make use of free wi-fi. Superb breakfast for only Eur 8 - can have cereal, fruit, croissants, pain au chocalat, french bread, cake, cheese, ham & yogurts together with juices, tea & coffee. Would be very difficult to beat.
“All in all a pleasant stay...”
A very conveniently located hotel within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. Very clean, modern hotel and great value for money. Only thing I'd say was the room was a little too minimalist - no coffee making facility. The menu's are open to interpretation, you don't necessarily get exactly what's described. My mate ordered the veggie pasta and it came with ham on it.
“Staff reaction to mice "they are everywhere in Paris, I saw a 'big one' (a rat) today"”
Mouse running around on the floor in the restaurant. We quickly left, luckily I had finished my food. But my 6.50euro beer was left half full as my wife screamed. The restaurant staff thought it was hilarious. With hindsight, I don't think there is anything unreasonable about expecting a professional apology. The reaction of restaurant staff was 'they are everywhere in Paris, get used to it, i saw a 'big one' today'. The hotel reception suggested complaints about the restaurant be made to the restaurant as the two are seperate. Very annoying. That in light of the hotel being in a great location, 15 minute walk from Eiffel Tower. There are plenty of restaurants in Place Cambronne. I recommend the bakery near the metro station. Great sandwiches. Paris in general is ridiculously expensive. The last time I went was a few years ago and i remember being amazed at 5euro beer!! Beer prices average 8 now and I even paid 10 at one point. Eating out seemed to cost a minimum of 50 euros for 2 people even when you don't want to splash out - Thats just an ordinary bog standard pub type restaurant. But, Paris is beautiful and well worth every penny. Save a few with Ibis.
“I would look elsewhere next time.”
Check-in was very poor. Poor queuing system, excruciatingly slow, inattentive and rude staff (wandering off without explanation, even stopping to watch buses drive past the windows, when checking people in). Took me around 15-20 minutes to check in. Hotel very noisy. Commotion all night in street on both nights. Also hotels doors slammed shut with vengeance; very disturbing.
