“cozy hotel with a good location”

this hotel was a small (cozy is probably right term) and seemed like a family ownd one. People worked in front desk were nice, but many of them could not speak English properly so it was a llittle difficult to communicate wth them. They were honest(I paid in cash, but one of the owner told me later that it was already charged with my credit card so they gave my money back) and try to help. It has an elevator and takes 2-3 minutes from metro station by walking! located in clean street!

“Convenient location, basic place to sleep”

Friendly staff try their best to help you but cannot speak much of English. So learn a few French words. It's a basic place to sleep (pretty big room in Paris standard) without much service. But you can find everything else around walking distance. You can get your breakfast in the bakery shop around the coner for less than 3 euros (in French style). Subway station and a Velib bike station is around corner as well. Quite a lot good restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. If you want find a cheap and convenient, clean place to stay in Paris, this is the place. Not for people looking for hotels with services and luxuries. It's like a motel in US. No AC so you need to open the big french window and using fan (provided) for warm weather. Free WiFi in lobby! Ask hotel staff to get WiFi passcode.

“Value in District 13”

Good value, though TV was very small and the receptionist made you give them the key everytime you exited the hotel. Parking was tough.

“Cute and friendly family establishment.”

The room was large, reasonably clean, and has Wi-Fi in the lobby. The staff were friendly and spoke English and my wake-up call went smoothly.

“Reception was GREAT!”

Trip to Paris was great! The hotel was ok. Receptionist was very kind and very patient at all times! This hotel is for those couples, students or perhaps those on a budget. Honeymoon NOT! Requested a wake call and it unfortunately was not given.Did not eat breakfast. Free internet! Metro 1 block away with lots of shops and a near by Supermarche! MANAGEMENT MUST invest in changing the CARPETS, it will certainly help prevent allergies and the musky 1700's scent.

“Great location, no A/C”

This hotel is in a great area but was a bit dirty. The room was small and outdated. There is no air conditioning and since our visit was in July it was very uncomfortable at night.

“Good price and location; room OK; service B&B level”

Excellent location, near Avenue des Gobellins. Got there in 45 minutes from Orly airport by bus then metro. Near Quartier Latin. Room was small and old, but clean and w/ good bathroom. Facilities in general very old. It was my first time in Paris, so perhaps I have no relevant basis for comparison, but service was hardly efficient, although polite. The place is family-run, so there is that B&B feel, which some might like. Not me. We were called to get down to the reception to prove that we had made the payment. No big deal, but, hey, not good quality service, right? Overall, I was satisfied because price was comparatively low and I try to handle things (like when we left, at 5 a.m., we had to wake the owner at the lobby couch) w/ humor.

“Won't come back”

Upon entering the elevator and inside the room, noticed note posted that the hotel does not responsible for loss of any personal item. One date when returning to room, notice my room door was left unlock, and I called the front desk to inquire why my room was unsecured. The front desk clerk did not feel that it was a problem, I then asked to speak to the manager, clerk replied I am the manager, then asked to speak to the owner, clerk replied I am the owner. The clerk then asked if I would come down to the lobby to speak of my dissatisfaction, after exiting the elevator, I was met with the clerk, her parents, and maybe an uncle lurking at a door, a very scary experience. Hotel clerk did not think it was a problem even when the room was left unlock and the hotel would not responsible for loss, I asked the clerk to ensure the room is secure after cleaning. Hotel did not charge Expeida in US dollar like most of my hotel booking with expedia, hotel charge room with Euro which result higher room cost. Hotel has no heat on a colder fall evening, when inquired, I was informed that the heat does not turn on after October. Hotel does not have air conditioning.
