“Timhotel Palais Royal Louvre”
This was a good hotel with a very good location. It was accessible to most of downtown Paris, just a few blocks from the Louvre and many other sights. The service was good and the facility was well maintained for an older bulding. It was convenient to a number of good restaurants.
“Small, clean, quiet, great value, wonderful location”
This small hotel is in a wonderful location, 5 minutes (or less) from the gardens of the Palais Royal, less than 10 minutes from the Louvre, easy walking distance to Rue Montorguiel (sp?). Our room on the 4th floor was small, with a very comfortable bed, tiny bath (shower only), and a window onto a light shaft. It was very quiet, I never heard any street noise. The neighborhood near the Bourse is workaday and non-touristy, with plenty of choices for restaurants. The hotel breakfast buffet was 10 euros, and ample but uninteresting. We always ate at a little bakery a block away. The desk staff spoke English and was friendly. This was our first trip to Paris, and it was better than I expected. Our only problem is, how soon can we go back? And we will definitely stay here again.
“Great Location”
The hotel was very nice. The room was clean and the front staff very helpful and friendly. It was quiet and a great place to rest after a day of seeing the sites. The hotel is centrally located. You can walk to the Louvre. The metro is also near-by. It is also a ten minute taxi ride from the Gare du Nord train station.
“Better than I expected!”
I have to admit, when I booked this two star hotel I was a bit nervous, but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were a bit small, especially the bathroom, I bumped my knee on the sink at least four times, but they were clean and comfortable. The street the hotel is located on is a one-way and didn't seem to have an extreme amout of traffic, so car noise wasn't an issue for me. You can hear noise from the hallway and rooms next door, but it wasn't too bad. It didn't keep me from sleeping. The hotel staff was pleasant, they even managed to recognize our group after a day or two an knew what room we were staying in. My only issue was upon check out they did try to charge us for a weeks worth of breakfast, which we didnt partake in once. We quickly cleared that up though. Overall, pleasant stay and I would reccomend this hotel to others.
“clean, safe and great location”
That about says it. No frills. Very helpful English-speaking staff. Centrally located and an easy walk to many sights.
“Excellent value”
Very good location, well placed for some key attractions and lots of resteraunts and cafe's in the area. The bedroom was clean and a reasonable size for the cost.Breakfast was available at 10 euros each and was fine. Would certainly return to this hotel. Strongly recommend.
“Perfect location, close to everything!”
This hotel is in an excellent location, close to everything. The room was very small, but typical of a European hotel room. I would definitely recommmed this hotel, if for nothing else, the location. The staff was very nice too!
“Great location”
Hotel was well located for many tourist attractions. Staff were helpful and friendly with English widely spoken. Rooms were clean, bathroom was small but functional. An ideal place to stay for a few days of sightseeing.
“Great Location”
For the price, the hotel was a good bargin. The location is excellent. The room was very small but we did not intent to spend much time there. If you are very tall or large, this may not be your hotel. The rooms were clean. The staff spoke English and were polite and helpful. You can get a decent breakfast for a fee. You can walk to most sights in Paris from this hotel.
“Cheap Cheerful and Friendly what more could you want”
Friendly staff and clean cheap conveniently located hotel with excellent patisserie around the corner. Would definitely recommend.
