“short break in penang”
first class hotel with friendly welcoming attentive staff good food fine dining. Rooms and hotel facilities spotlessly clean..
“Excellant”
The staff and the food was excellant .Everyone was really helpful.The club class accomodation was tremendous.The happy hour and canopies with drink just great.
“Great Hotel”
The hotel was in a great location for looking around Georgetown. The shuttle out to the Golden sands resort, and the use of the resort there was fantastic. Just make sure that you book the shuttle a day ahead. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
“Best base in Penang”
Traders in Penang never fails to deliver in terms of service, comfort, ambience etc, with the added advantage of being located in the heart of Georgetown within a short walking distance of the historic centre. For anyone who wishes to sample the beaches of Batu Ferringgi, the hotel also provides a regular courtesy bus service and use of the facilities of its sister hotel there - all bases covered!
“Delighted”
We had a fantastic time and stayed on a Traders floor which gave access to the Traders Lounge, which I would definitely recommend. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Nothing was a trouble. Rooms were well presented but not huge. Great location to shops and bus transport.

Service, meals & accommodation were excellent, I would not hesitate to stay there again, it is the heart of all shopping be it street or malls & close to Ferries etc.
“Convenient location”
Traders Hotel is walking distance to many food places esp the hawker stalls and next to shopping malls. The free shuttle service provided by the bus company was most helpful to many places of interest and just situated next to hotel. Food is really cheap in Penang. Too much hype on Gurney Drive. You can find good delicious food everywhere eg in the shopping malls and hawker stalls. Free hotel shuttle to Golden Sands Hotel for the beach. Good short break.
“Penang Malyasian stay”
My wife and I stayed at the Traders Hotel for a complete week. Our room was very clean and always maintained. It appeared that the same staff worked our floor for our entire stay which was very helpul to know them on site for additional services as needed. The only problem with the room was a slow draining restroom sink which was addressed when asked however it bagan to drain slowly again. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They helped us get a personal driver for outings and suggested the best things to see and when. Very Happy, and will definately stay at Traders again
“great experience”
We had the club room and service. The hotel operated cocktail and snack service at the traders lounge everyday at 6pm and this was completely complimentary. The room was a good size with a king size bed. Everything was in good working order and clean and room service was prompt and polite.
“Best Central Penang Hotel”
If you want a Central Penang Hotel to discover the town, stay here !! Everything is nearby. Shopping and local food stalls are sensational.
