“Very surprised and delited”
It had been many yesrs since I had stayed in a Travelodge motel. The previous ratings for this motel were not very high but it was close to where we wanted to be in the city. Much to our surprise, the room was completely remodled and wonderful. It was 105 degrees outside and the new air conditioner kept the room extremely comfortable. The bathroom was remodled as well and we really enjoyed our stay. Management was very friendly and the free wireless internet worked perfectly. The nearby street was quiet as well.
“I will try to stay here again next year”
I was in town for an annual bike ride (Century Ride of the Centuries) I've been participating in for the last five years. I hadn't planned my trip as well, and found the Rugged Country Lodge, where I'd stayed and enjoyed before, was all booked, so I was eager to find a budget alternative. Early reviews were negative, a flaw in the way these things work. In short: it was a nice place and I'll try to stay here for next year's CRoC. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful in providing directions to Hamley's for dinner. Location: the motel is between Court and Dorion, the main east-west roads through downtown. It's only three blocks to downtown, though some of Pendleton's sidewalks are a bit of a construction mess right now. After dinner, I strolled around town looking at the beautiful murals. Road noise wasn't a problem. (First, this is Pendleton, not Baltimore; second, I was running the A/C "fan" to keep air circulation going.) The front parking lot is configured oddly, but there was plenty available in back, too. Room: Very clean and goodly space for me and the bike. I *really* appreciated the mini-fridge to keep all of my cycling elixirs cold. Unexpectedly nice was the availability of power outlets -- five on the desk, two by the bed -- I could use my laptop anywhere in the room. The wireless was pretty reliable. Air conditioning was *excellent*. As I do everywhere, I ran the fan at night to filter out noise from the fridge (clicking on and off) and other visitors.
“Good place to stay”
Clean room, nice ammenities, and good location. The breakfast snacks were closed down a little early and the parking lot pretty narrow, but otherwise very satisfied with stay ...
“Good Location”
Good location downtown near resturants and a bike path. Dog friendly.
“Cold Winter's night”
We arrived late on a winter night and we couldn't get the heat to work, I couldn't get warm all night. It was made up for by the nice continental breakfast, kid friendly (bagels and cereal). The gentleman staff was very nice and helpful.
“Good room rate, thin walls”
Stayed here because the rate was very reasonable and the motel is across the street from the town hall, which I visited. The condition of the motel was OK, but the walls are thin and the plumbing very noisy.
“Horrible Stay”
Our room smelled like a dead animal when we got there and we found out it was because they left old food in the refrigerator, The air conditioner sounded like a diesel truck and woke our baby up every time it turned on, And the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on or rather did not get any sleep on.
