“Weekend during Umbria Jazz Festival”

We we visiting from London for a weekend at the Umbria Jazz Festival and had a fantastic time. The hotel is perfect choice for someone who is looking for a bit more quiet stay in the area than the hotels in the centre of Assisi or Perugia. However it still provides easy access to these 2 main towns (15km to each place) as well as to the rest of Umbria or even Toscany. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant, terrace and swimming pool area with superb views over the hills of Umbria. The building is old-style and romantic but at the same time the rooms have modern furniture and all necessary conveniences (A/C, Sky TV, king size beds, modern bathroom, etc) and many rooms have great views as well. The staff was very friendly; one night we arrived at 3am in the morning starving and the night concierge gave us some nice biscuits and fruit free of charge. The only negative was that one morning we stayed in the room late and didn't let the maid clean the room and even though we put the "pls clean the room" sign when we left at noon the room was not cleaned when we got home (was too late at night and didn't complain). Also there should be a "quiet pls and no diving" sign near the pool area since there was one family with kids who made quite a bit of noise for this quiet and charming environment!
