“No surprises”
I was quite satisfied with the Holiday Inn Phoenix West. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, and there weren't any sneaky hidden fees. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice. And the door to the balcony even opened- what more could you ask for from a reasonably priced hotel? (I've certainly paid more and gotten less in the past.)
“Not far from chase field”
The people at front desk were very friendly. We were in town to watch baseball at Chase Field , very short drive to downtown, could see from our third floor patio. I would stay at again for chase field or us airways center otherwise I would look for something off of the I-10 and in a nicer part of town
“Really not a bad hotel”
I have been in a lot of city and motel, I would rate this hotel in the top 5.
“One Way Only”
The only thing bad about the hotel was that there were no stairs, except for the fire exits. A single elevator to service four floors, about six people max. There was one time we had to wait for three trips of the elevator before we could go because there were so many people waiting for the elevator. Minor complaints was the lack of towels (five person room, which we had, but only two bath towels), and an outdated tv, while watching espn, could not read the scores on the bottom because it was missing the bottom third of the ticker and tilted, so could only read the second score not the first. Could only exit the parking, (which had very narrow spaces up front, the back side had wider) turning right, no left turn, which put you either on or across the highway, which was okay for us cause we wanted to get on the highway. One parking light shown right through our curtains that were not wide enough to block the light, some ingenuity took care of the problem. Otherwise it supplied the basics, in our case two reasonable beds, air, refrig, and plenty of hot water. The kids enjoyed the pool and i put 10 miles on the treadmill which held up nicely. It was within five miles to many different eating establishments. A reasonable close and easy trip to the Goodyear ballpark, which is why we were there, and definitely more affordable for a family of five than staying closer to the park.

Overall I was satisfied with the service.The staff was really nice with suggestions on places to go and how to get there.
“Close to Maryvale Park!”
Two of the three rooms booked were able to check in early, and that was appreciated! Then we left for a Brewers-Cubs Cactus League game.We were disappointed to learn breakfast was not included in our stay.
“good place to stay”
the staff was very friendly staff. The staff was pleasant and helpful . its a good place to stay.easy access to the highway 10. the beds were comfy. pool was nice and there was a hot tub.
“Give this one a miss.”
This place is poorly maintained and managed. I was looking for something that would be inbetween the most expensive and cheapest. The ratings are waaaay off-- this place really does not deserve two stars, let alone four. One day we left our room just before 11 am and the maid completely skipped us. We called the desk and were told we were too late. Really? 11 am? And they were none to happy to provide us with replenishments. Overall it's the kind of place you are afraid to walk around barefoot in your room. They didn't even vacuum the entire 4 nights we were there-- I walked around with socks on and they were BLACK on the bottom when I took them off. We also had a bright street lamp shining right into our window which was quite annoying. Overall the place is quite dirty. Oh yeah and the coffee in the room is really crappy.
