“Scottsdale Oasis”
Stayed here one night with my two children (ages 16 and 20). The resort is an incredible deal for the price, a superb Scottsdale location, absolutely gorgeous grounds with little garden-like walkways throughout. Like a little oasis in the heart of the desert city. The pool area looked large and impeccible, with a pool bar. Complimentary appetizers were nothing more than chips and salsa, and a beer was $7!! Not so good. We had the smaller suite, with 2 beds and pull-out sofa. The sofa bed looked very uncomfortable, and had no linens in the room at all. The beds were clean and comfy. Did not use the on-premise restaurant.
“Location qualities”

“"Treat yourself!" - Stay at the Cottonwood Resort”
My girlfriend & I traveled to Phoenix to celebrate my "50th Birthday" and, we couldn't have been any more pleased with the accommodations & service provided by the staff of the Cottonwoods Resort! It was romantic, ...peaceful, ...and breathtakingly scenic! While a little older than some of the newer and more prestigious hotels, the Cottonwoods Resort is maintained beautifully and it's grounds are flawless and beautiful! The close proximity of their restaurants & shops, while not so close as to disrupt one's stay, made it incredibly convenient. We would recommend this hotel to ANYONE seeking amazingly high standards of quality, and at a very reasonable rate!!
“Relaxing and Fun!”
We had a great time. The Room was nice and the staff was friendly. Loved the close proximitiy to the Borgata and Walgreens and Trader Joes. Also the U Swirl Yogurt store. My 14 year old daughter loved sunning by the pool, while my 11 year old son and I played tennis, ping pong, walked the trail and explored. The pool bar was fun and the bartenders Theresa and Julian were very nice. Car service to Old Scottsdale and Fashion Square mall also allowed us to do more than we thought we could .The Trolly would not come all the way to the resort but you can catch it when you are in Old town Scottsdale.
“Scottsdale Cottonwood Resort”
It was a pleasant place to stay. Restaurants and places to shop were in the area.
“Great Deal”
Great place, great price; wish I had had more time to stay there.
“Comfortable, convenient and a good value”
I've stayed here on several occasions for a week or more at a time. The room is comfortable, clean and conveniently located for Scottsdale & east Phoenix activities.
“Great location”
We would definately stay here again. Great location and great value.
“Outstanding value. Highly recommended.”
A clean, quiet resort with a great pool and a fantastic breakfast. The staff were friendly and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back to the Cottonwood.
“New Management vs Marriott but Wonderful”
I booked this hotel for a conference in November and was very impressed. I did read previous reviews and was a bit nervous, especially as when I booked the hotel it was a Marriott property. No question it is showing its age (70's style) but the rooms and property were very clean! The rooms are beautiful, I had a suite, and the food was fantastic. It reminded me of Fantasy Island where you will either have a short walk or a ride to your rooms. Plenty of shops/food in walking distance. Overall a definite 5 out of 5 and for the price, I'd definitely stay there again.
