“Nice Comfortable Hotel for a Good Price”
Newly remodeled! Comfortable bed. Clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Outdoor pool is sparkling clean and shaded from the hot sun by the building angle in the afternoons. Perfect! Can take free trolley around Scottsdale. Value for money without sacrificing comfort. Bathroom has a bathtub which is nice to soak in after a long day of travels.
“Awesome Location”
When we got there our first night they did not have a room with a king size bed, but told us they would have one the next day. They moved us the next day but the room did not have a refigerator once we told them they brought us a frig in a matter of minutes. They called us by name whenever we went to get pool towels and would always give us a few extra. They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just once block away from Scottsdale old town, which was within walking distance and was wonderful.
“Hotel rooms were comfortable but not luxurious.”
Would suggest new blankets on beds and new towels. Otherwise hotel was convenient to my meetings and comfortable for my needs.
“Great deal! Great Location!”
When I booked my stay at the Travelodge, I was looking for an affordable place, close to Downtown Scottsdale's shopping, restaurants, bars, etc... This was just perfect! Our room was clean, the bathroom was big, the staff was nice and helpful, and there's a continental breakfast each morning. If you aren't looking for a swanky, Scottsdale hotel, and are really just looking for comfort, and convenience, than this is your spot!
“Adequate, but nothng fancy....”
The exterior condition of the hotel needs serious landscaping, painting, and cleaning. There are weeds and the exterior garbage cans were overflowing. The room itself was adequate, but nothing fancy. Fairly loud from outside noise. We really missed not having a refrigerator and in addition, all the ice machines were broken, so having cold drinks handy was a hassle, although the staff (especially the GM, Kristy) was very apologetic and obtained some ice at a local Circle K. The location is not bad if walking around Old Town - as we explored the area we found a few short cuts that made getting to and from fairly easy. Bottom line, if you are looking for a luxury stay, go else where. If you want to go to and from your pillow to outside activities in Scottsdale, it's worth the room rate.
“Dodge when traveling..”
A client recomended this hotel as, " A good deal" . It was, but all else was poor to fair to say the least. Great place if your retired and want a free breakfast. Not for couples, unless your into hookers. Dont waste your time, to many NICE places in the area.
“very disappointing reflection on this hotel chain”
very poor upkeep, the carpet is loose, worn and very old, the lights in the entire corridor leading to my room were out (very dark at night and extremely unsafe), the room was modest in appointments, missing an iron, conditioner is not stocked, deadbolt on the door would not lock, the only window in the room faces the unlit corridor, and the curtains did not completely pull shut. would never stay here again. very disappointing
“Don't Stay Here”
Looking at reviews from 2011, this hotel has gone downhill. We were put in a room that the heat wasn't working. When asked if we could change rooms, we were told they could not put us in another room as they were completely booked. The only thing they could do for us was offer us extra blankets (thin and torn). Choosing to stay at this hotel instead of finding something else (since it had been booked and paid for through expedia) the next morning we saw that there were over 15 rooms unoccupied. We asked why could we have not been moved to one of those rooms the night before, the front desk clerk said that those rooms had plumbing problems. Had we known that this was the reason the night before we would have gone ahead and changed hotels. She did however said she had a no show that she could put us in that day. Since we only had one more night in Scottsdale, we changed rooms. Heat worked in that room but ran loudly all night long. Also, none of the ice machines worked and had to get ice from front desk. The door on the first room had problems closing and didn't lock.
“Horrible!”
Right out of Norman Bates, blinking lights, noisy Heater Fan, Popcorn ceiling falling off. Do not stay here. There hasn't been upkeep in years!
“"Not Worth It"”
The toilet clogged and they brought us a plunger to plunge it. Eveything is so outdated, it really needs an overhaul. The breakfast in the morning is very basic and no one seems to manage it. Had to go to the front desk to get them to make more coffee.
