“Amazing views”

The hotel was amazing. We were positioned high on the hill so had great views of the ocean and surrounds. Quite a steep walk to the room although the buggy was always there if you needed a ride. While the room & complex were very well kept, one of the reasons we took the resort was for the gym which although pretty well equipped looked like the equipment could use a good clean. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The only complaint & wasn't something the hotel could control was the agent selling the Phuket Adventure tours. We were told a number of things that just weren't true about our day trip to the islands. This left us feeling disappointed. I wouldn't recommend the tour or have even gone on it if I had my time over.

“Fantastic!”

After staying in Patong and Kata we headed to this resort for some relaxation. This was no doubt the best resort we stayed in on this trip. We had a sea view room. The room was spacious with separte lounge area, great terrace with cold tub- great for cooling down in and admiring the fantastic view over Surin. The staff were great, we couldn't have access for more. The villas are set on a very steep hillside- which prevented no challenge for us, but for less able or elderly it may. Having said that the buggy service is great and you can catch it from your room (but not directly outside for all rooms- may still require walking up the path and some stairs) to the reception/ pool/ restaurant and also the beach. We ate from the restaurant and found the food great and also the breakfast.

“Our own slice of heaven”

Ayara is perfect for the traveller who likes peace & quiet, but is still close enough to the bars and nightlife of Patong. The beach near the resort is a lot quieter than Patong and has many places to eat. It is an easy 5 min walk or during the day a complimentary car will take you. The cars will also take you to your rooms if you don’t want to walk up the steep hill as Ayara is located on a hillside. The resort staff were friendly & helpful from when we first arrived, greeting us with flowers, cold towels & drinks. We arrived in the morning. Check in was not until 3pm but our rooms were made ready for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always able to assist with a smile & we often enjoyed a nice chat. Staff were also able to offer us late check out when we asked. The suites were also special. Each had its own pond, with tadpoles & frogs, a cool spa tub out front, a lovely bath & also an outdoor garden shower. Each room was fully equipped including complimentary bottled water (replenished everyday). The mini bar prices were also reasonable. The hotel had a lovely pool area & cocktail hour everyday. The room rate included a sumptuous buffet breakfast which could see you through to dinner. The day spa had some great couples packages. Massages and facials were a real treat as was a Thai cooking class we did. Dinner at the poolside restaurant was well priced & the quality could rival many places at home. Thanks to the Ayara staff for making us so welcome.

“Cant wait to return to the AYARA Hilltops, best ever !!!!”

WOW is all I can say about this hotel. Although its situated on a steep hill the staff are more than ready to summon a car to take you up and ferry you down if need be. The Food was amazing, although we chose to eat out a lot at a local restaurant 'The Blue Lagoon' The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had the most enjoyable 2 weeks ever. really cannot express how fab this place was and we are soo looking forward to returning soon.

“Relaxing and comfortable”

The hotel was a wonderful experience - we arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and the staff was still very courteous, polite, attentive in getting us settled into our luxurous room. The decor and feel of the rooms were so clean and relaxing. The hilltop views were amazing, private and quiet compared to the more touristy parts of Thailand.

“Excellent resort.”

We stayed at Araya Hilltops for 8 nights for our honeymoon. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed it very much every morning. We would definitely go back and stay at Araya Hilltops in the future if we go back to Phuket. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience.

“Great views and well appointed”

I stayed for the first time after several visits to Phuket and was very impressed with this boutique hotel on the hillside overlooking the Andaman ocean. The staff is very friendly (as all Thai's are) and although it is on a hill, they have a buggy that picks you up from your hilltop room or from the lobby before you can blink. Local Thais are in the park near the ocean at night and you can hear fireworks but it is not obtrusive. A great place to stay for a couple or family. The pool is great as well. Suggest having a rent a car to get to other areas of Phuket if you need to. Would absolutely stay there again without hesitation.

“Great stay at Ayara”

My husband and I went to Phuket for a long Easter weekend to unwind at the beach. I honestly don't have enough good words to say about this hotel. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to suit any taste. The staff were gracious and attentive to our every need. There is a buggy service to take you up and down the steep hill to the beach - never did we even wait two minutes for them to arrive after we phoned. Every suite has its own jacuzzi on the balcony. Surin beach is peaceful and uncrowded with many lovely places to dine. Thumbs up all around.

“Will definately return”

Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure our needs were met and our stay was wonderful . Rooms where secluded and luxurious. Surin a much quiter option to Patong.

“Great Resort”

It is a lovely resort. Even the basic suites are enormous and the views are terrific. Lots of steps up to the rooms but you can get a lift if you are feeling lazy. Otherwise why not walk and use up some of the calories from the wonderful breakfast?! Beach is close by and a buggy service takes you there. Nice beach but sun umbrellas could do with renewal (resort doesn't own these, it is a beach club). Lots of good local restaurants there as well.
