“Modera/PDX”
Premises were perfect, staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful.
“Wonderful Experience”
The Modera is, quite simply, my new favorite hotel. The hotel’s design is fantastic--from the interiors to the patio outside--and the staff is both friendly and helpful. Moreover, the rates are very reasonable. I give this hotel my highest recommendation as the most comfortable, classy, convenient, and convivial place to stay in Portland, Oregon.
“Perfect for a wonderful night out.”
Was looking around for a relatively inexpensive hotel to stay for Valentines, and found this gem. The courtyard alone was worth the short stay, not to mention the modern style and elegance of the entire experience. The bathroom could have been a bit larger, but the amenities spot on and the rest of the room was inviting and very comfortable - almost as good as the memory foam at home.
“happy experience”
nice hotel! very courteous staff, young, energetic and willing to serve, well trained in custumer services. very adequate. will go back.
“Very Nice”
Rooms were very clean, location was excellent, and service was perfect. Enjoy a drink by the fireplaces on the outdoor patio before dinner!
“Excellent choice”
Having never been to Portland and having never heard of this particular hotel, I was a bit apprehensive as to what I would find. But, not only was the hotel in a nice neighborhood and easy to get to, it was it a great location - within walking distance to all forms of transportation. The staff at the front desk were efficient, friendly and very helpful. They answered all my questions and had some excellent suggestions for places to visit and/or eat. The room was very clean and comfortable and definitely bigger than I expected for a downtown hotel. I also appreciated the fact that from the lobby, you had to swipe your room key on the elevator for it take you to your floor (nice safety feature). Bottom line: I'm definitely staying there again the next time I'm in Portland. :)
“excellent hotel, good price”
Great guest room althrough a little small. Facilities looks like brand new. Great price at downtown area.
“We will be back”
Our stay started off wonderfully with the valet parking attendants. They helped us unload our car and took our car away. The check-in desk personnel were pleasant and helpful. The elevators were room key controlled so there was added access security. Our room was clean and on the small side, but there was plenty of room around the king size bed. The end tables had drawers for our clothes. The desk / table was long enough for the TV with plenty of room to work. There was only the one chair at the desk for sitting. The bathroom fixtures were very nice. The closet was adequate. The sliding door either had the closet or bathroom shut at one time. The bed was comfortable. There was some street noise but since this is a downtown hotel that is to be expected. The light rail line runs next to the hotel with convenient stops. Easy walking to the theater, symphony and shopping. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very nice - good food and reasonably priced. We will stay here again.
“great little hotel”
We stayed here in March. Easy walk to Pioneer Square where we could easily use the tri-met. The room was clean and comfortable. Helpful staff.
“Centrally located and very stylish”
This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at. It is very conveniently located downtown, close to the streetcars, very stylish, great restaurant and bar, and outdoor patio area which seemed to be very popular at night (I did not use that). I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again if and when I next visit Portland. I kind of wish I had tried their sister Hotel in Seattle as well.
