“very nice hotel”
We would definately recommend this hotel for other travelers. My husband and I went there for the weekend and had a great time. The staff is very nice and goes out of their way to make your stay extra special. We had dinner reservations at the Mexican restaurant which was pretty good and then the waiters sang us a happy Birthday for my husband and brought us a piece of cake with a candle which was very nice on their part. The hotel has alot included for the price. Very nice swimming pools and Jacuzzis and one of the swimming pools is really quiet and has a cascade. The hotel includes a disco next to the beach with drinks included and the snack until 2am right outside. I think for the price this was a great deal.
“Would definately go back”
This is a really nice hotel, it was a great for the price and great customer service. The staff is very nice and always looking to accomodate your requests. We feel we got a lot included for the price we paid, even the disco and the drinks inside the disco were included. The restaurant a la carte was a real nice experience and the food really good in all the restaurants a la carte and buffet with a lot of variety. Animation staff goes out of its way to entertain you too and there are always a lot of activities, but if you want a quiet time to relax there is also a quiet pool with a cascade, to relax. There are three pools in total. One corner you can't miss is the pond with ducks, peacoks and geese and a big turkey. They are simply beautiful and you can feed them and they will come to eat right out of your hand. We would definately go back
“a great resort in a fantastis setting”
perfect resort lots to do great food. be sure to take advantage of the horseback riding. nice walk into luperon about 20 minutes we usually took a cab home $5.00 internet is very cheep in town dont use hotels. the snorkeling alone is worth the trip. huge reef right off the beach. pay atention to the warnings about hedgehogs in the water.
“Adventure in Luperon”
The food was good and the entertainment was good. Luperon is a bit out of the way so it is expensive to get to by taxi. If you are traveling by car it is pretty cool since the natives are friendly. You can go to where Christopher Columns landed at La Isabella. The beach was good but rocky in places. Overall a good experience at a competitive price.
“NICE HOTEL BUT....”
the overall hotel was nice for the price. However, there were a few things I didnt like about it. For example, my boyfriend and I paid for a ocean view suite and we got a view facing the other hotel buildings. Also, the disco was the worst. It was filled with little kids that were drunk. The music was bad and continuous. What i liked was that the food was very good and so was the drinks. The horseback riding was fun! prob one of the best time i had at the hotel.
“Isolated quiet place”
Kind of isolated place (1 hr to Puerto Plata by car). Hotel is OK, food even excellent. Reception staff extremely friendly. Junior Suite probably not worth the extra money. The sand beach is clean and big, however, a lot of stones where the sea water begins. The disco is poor, the Internet too expensive (10 times more compared to nearby Luperon). The pools however are very good. To summarize: Recommendable for a beach-only vacation.
“Honeymooners' resort!”
Despite the confusion and anxiety upon check-in as having no booking, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel has organized many activities, one would be enticed to just stay put, enjoy the beach, the pools, jacuzzi, disco, as well as join the dance and yoga lessons, entertainment at night, and eat, eat, eat! (Drink, drink, too)...Food was fantastic, could not get enough of the papaya, and had no chance at all to try the desserts, as there was sooo much to try from the main courses.Service at the restaurants and bars was prompt but quite reserved, they could use more warmth and charm. Language barrier perhaps...I was very impressed with how the entertainment staff organized a different show each night, which I enjoyed participating in thoroughly. It made my stay there very memorable. Welcoming the new year by the pool, dancing to the music of a live band, and a full moon that was ordered too, it was truly unforgettable. The weather was cloudy and it was windy, too, but I was able to enjoy the sea and beach at the eastern end of the resort, which also had a bar and good snacks/lunch to go with the drinks. Really fun! Staff was friendly, I practiced my Spanish with them as much as I could. This resort is perfect for honeymooners! The buildings are all well-laid out, with 3 swimming pools at different locations, with bars and snacks, clean and well-trimmed gardens, I felt like a queen there! Was sad to leave, but the memories will stay forever inside me.!!!
“We'll go back and take our teenage children next trip.”
As an all-inclusive it was as expected. Lots to do if you wanted to partake or do nothing if that was your choice. The buffet was better than average but the specialty restaurants were a big disappointment. The Italian was the worst with under cooked pasta, breaded veal as tasteless as breaded cardboard and a poor imitation of a cesar salad. Having said that we'll go back but will stick to the buffet for our meals.
“Nice for honeymooners”
I love this place.... excellent food and excellent rooms... is not expensive and the service is outstanding. Only one thing i hate of this place.... 2 o 3 guys trying to "invite" you to a vip club of vacations including a 40 minutes annnoying presentation
“Great experience for low price”
It a great hotel location. Not all beach line qualify for swimming but enought. Great food, swimming pool acceptable, graat garden, night shows OK. People that work there are kind and friendly. We had a great time in there. I recommend because for this price you won't find anything better. In 3* resorts there are people who want to have fun. So don't overpay for 5 * and deal with snobs. Great and cheap vacation. My doughter loves swimming pools. She spent all day in water. There is also kid's klub with very friendly girl from near near city Luperon.
