The resort's water-sports center rents kayaks, along with snorkeling and Snuba® gear for use on reefs just offshore. (Snuba® is a shallow-water diving system with breathing tube.) An independent operator 200 m (219 yds) away rents surfboards and offers scuba excursions.
An instructor assists guests on 9.25-m (30-ft) rock-climbing tower (surcharge). Use of two lighted artificial-grass tennis courts is complimentary. An expansive playground is a hit with children. Adult and children's bicycles are available for rent. Use of an air-conditioned fitness center is complimentary.
Adjacent to the resort, Tropical Trail Rides offers beach/trail horseback rides. An 18-hole municipal golf course is about 6.5 km (4 mi) away.

“Great place to relax and get away from it all.”
I enjoyed the amenities Villa Montana had to offer. The only thing I would complain is I found the single/simple rooms to have thin walls. I had noisy neighbors and found it hard to sleep. I was hoping the reception may have ear plugs but did not. If I return in the future I would probably invest in an apartment. The resturant on site was great and the most of the waiting were welcoming and quit professional.
“exquisite, well-equipped bungalows, at a stone-throw from the sea”
satisfying every desire! comfortable living in beautiful park with clean sandy beach; ideal for water sports freaks and others (tennis, horse back riding etc.) superb dining - I would have liked to stay longer!
“A great place to relax”
If you are looking to relax this is the place to stay don't expect any fun activities, you can find things to do near by the hotel, the only problem we got was that the curtains are transparent and the sun hit you at 6.30am in the room,so for late sleepers be ready to wake up early, otherwise wonderfull hotel
“A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY IN PR”
Me and my Husband really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Montana in Isabella PR. The front desk held our room till 12 pm for us and our room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The towels were plush and the air in the room was perfect. I don't think anyone would be disappointed at all with this resort.
“This is our thrid time staying at Villa Montania.”
We love staying at Villa Montana. This is our third time staying. The suites are higly recommended if you like traveling with a 3+ more adults.
“Peaceful”
We recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for peace and quiet. However only during the week. On the weekends there are lots of families with small children running around. The beach is wonderful and very beautiful. The room with it's view was spectacular. Everything we needed was within a 5 to 10 minute drive.
“Relaxed Paradise”
Villa Montana is the perfect destination for travelers looking to enjoy true Puerto Rican culture. The hotel staff was quite helpful with directions to any destination we inquired about. It is very close to the airport. My advise is to rent a car. There are lots of local restaurants nearby with great local cuisine that are a must try. We had a great stay!
“What a gem!”
When we saw this hotel reviewed in the New York Times in an article about great deals in the carribean, we expected to find a perfectly okay hotel at a reasonable price. What we found was paradise. On our car ride there we started to worry that we had picked a lemon. This is not a very touristy side of the island (except for the surfers), and the little road off the slightly bigger little road to the resort made us wonder if we were heading for a run-down farm. But the moment we entered the gate we knew we had struck gold. It's a beautiful property, wonderfully landscaped, with dozens of species of birds of all colors and sizes. Our favorites were the wild parrots which nested high up in the palms. There are two pools which are not particularly big, but they were not crowded at all, and the deck was always impeccably clean with plenty lush lounges to relax on. The beach is a gorgeous and uncrowded blue crescent that seems to go on forever.
“paradise”
Bautiful grounds, oceanview awesome. Room service perfect, the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Bar needs a bit of Tropical music and TO stay open at least till 11:30 pm. The grounds were kept nice, decor very nice, gym was great.Loved the dogs and cats walking around and so friendly. had a problem with Air Conditioning was adressed within a 15 minutes.
“A unique and pleasant hotel”
Hotel was rather difficult to find certainly off the beaten track! Having said that we found that it was on a beautiful stretch of coastline with very comfoftable accomadation. The food served in the restaurant was of high quality well presented with a very pleasant beach view from ones table. Staff were attentive and efficient,so overall a very pleasant stay.
