“Great location”
We had a reservation for Casa Dona Susana but when we went to check in the front desk person told us we could have a room across the street in the Playa Los Arcos if we wanted. Since it was beach front and was where the restaurant and bar were located , we took the other room. We loved the location of the hotel(s) since they were right in the middle of the old town. We used the rooftop pool at Casa Dona Susana three times and loved the serenity and view that it offered. The beach at the Playa Los Arcos was excellent except for the many vendors, but they are on every beach and you get used to them. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, especially breakfast with the made to order omelets. Since the price of the all-inclusive was so cheap, we were able to go out to eat and drink whenever we felt the urge and not feel like we were wasting money. I would recommend both the Playa Los Arcos and Casa Dona Susana to anyone who wants to experience the real city of Puerto Vallarta. If you want a huge resort where you never leave the grounds, then this may not be for you. But if you want to be right in the middle of everything at a very good price, then you will love these hotels.
“Best Hotel Stay Yet”
Casa Dona Susana had so much to offer. They had the friendliest staff, and they were very attentitive to your comfort and overall satisfaction with your stay. The room was always spotless and clean, and the hotel is just beautiful. It is connected with two other hotels just next door, and all have really cool pools and the staff welcome you to use their pool even if you are not staying in that particular hotel. Will definitely visit Casa Dona Susana again!
“"Puerto Vallarta's Best!"”
I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Dona Susana. The hotel has friendly staff. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The restaurant included with the all inclusive package "Mi Pueblito" was fantastic, food was great and so was the waiting staff. This was my third stay here at Casa Dona Susana. Casa Dona Susana is close to the Malecon, stores and the night life, I cant wait to go back in February and looking forward to staying at Casa Dona Susana! I'm loving it here and will continue to return to Casa Dona Susana.
“Great Hotel”
Great tourist class hotel in old town with access to all the facilities at Playa Los Arcos across the street where you can get a umbrella and chaise on the beach. Staff is friendly. Rooms are basic but very clean (good sheets). Nice roof top pool for an afternoon siesta or quiet read. Close to the best restaurants, nightlife and shopping.
“Very good hotel, bargain and very well located.”
This hotel is very nice, there is a very quiet rain forest atmosphere inside the building; let me explain that there is a central patio with a huge tree that goes up to the 5 story building. It is located across the street of other hotels that has direct beach access, but you still get access to accommodations of the Playa Los Arcos (sibling hotel across the street) and it's on the busiest corner of the famous Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone. The bigger rooms have a frigobar and small kitchen, wich you can find convenient.
“Great Family Hotel”
The Los Arcos Hotel group has 3 hotels near each other. They have a series of three pools and a hot tub facing the beach with incredible views of the sunset. Two of the pools are shallow and appropriate for small children. Our kids, aged 3 and 5, spent hours in the pools and made lots of friends. The rooms are traditional Mexican country style.
“We loved this place and we plan to come back with our friends and family”
This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and we arrived during the last day of hurricane Dean. As expected, there was lots of the rain and there was some flooding of many streets. Despite this, the people were very friendly when we arrived. There was some water in our room due to the heavy rains, but some extra towels were all we needed to mop it up. The people at the front desk were very helpful and gave us very good information on places to go and things to see. The pool on the roof was so nice and relaxing. It had an amazing view of the town. For some reason, very few people were up there so we usually had the whole roof to ourself. When we wanted to use the beach, we were able to use the towel and chair service at their sister hotel Playa Los Arcos. We just used the room to sleep, shower, and change. If you're looking for a room where you're going to spend lots of time, we'd suggest one of the other Los Arcos hotels as their rooms are bigger. But if you're the kind of person that's visiting Puerto Vallarta to see the city and do things, then this is a great place for you. Additionally, it was very nice to be in a hotel that catered to adults only.
“Los Arcos Vallarta is an excellent value!”
We were very satisfied with our experience at Los Arcos Vallarta! We were on a tight budget and it was definatly a great value for the money. Room was basic, windows did not open and interactive movie system did not work when we wanted to stay in. Air conditioning worked well, water was clean and staff extremely friendly and helpful! Roof top pool is gorgeous, building itself has a lot of character. Great to be able to use amenities at Playa Los Arcos, like beach chairs and hot tub. Excellent location with a lot to do around the neighborhood and a short walk to downtown. Cafe de Olla is an amazing restaurant with local fare at great prices and fabulous service, right around the corner. We ate there every day we were in Puerto Vallarta!
“Quiet little gem”
The front desk staff was courteous and efficient, and very welcoming to me and my same-sex partner. Any time we had a question, staff were always very helpful. The central location in the Zona Romantica was perfect, and the hotel itself was small and tranquil. Views from the small rooftop pool were great, and the huge tree growing up through the central open courtyard was really cool. Though there were no services such as restaurant or bar in the Casa Dona Susana, guests are given free use of the pool (and poolside bar service!) of the Los Arcos hotel down the block, which is great. A wonderful place to stay if you're looking to have a relaxing stay in a clean, authentic Mexican-style hotel away from the big resorts.
“nice place”
very nice, cozy little hotel, the pictures dont do it the justice. make sure u get the all inclusive its worth the little extra money, free drinks on the beach, and the best part is the pool on top of your hotel.
