“My next vacations in Vallarta will be in this Hotel”
I thought that by the economic price the hotel would be of low quality, nevertheless the quality in cleaning and service is very good
“Perfect Escape”
I agree that the the steps, especially after 4 days got to be a drag, trudging up after a day at the beach, but the views, the pool and the quiet of the hotel were worth it. Balcony was great to sit and watch the city and ocean. Restaurant on top floor was great for dinner or drinks.
“Mexico”
This hotel is wonderful, we've stayed there many times. Their is only one problem with the location and it's the noise from the night clubs in Puerto Vallarta. These clubs stay open almost all night on the weekends. I hope that this practices will stop, because it's hurting the business of neighboring hotels.
“I Highly Reccommend La Siesta”
I read the reviews for La Siesta and many other hotels prior to booking my stay. Which is why I decided to book my stay there. I'm 64 and was a bit apprehensive about the "Steep Climb" portrayed by other reviewers. I personally did not find the climb up the steps from the main road (a five minuet walk)into the center of "Old Town" particulary intimadating nor exhausting. In fact,I found it to be good old fashioned healthy excersise with several places to rest, if needed, during the three minuet assent from below. The panoramic view from my comfortable and tastfully furnished Junior Suite was awsome and Pedro servicing the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful, as was everyone I encountered associated with the hotel. I highly reccommend the La Siesta. Its affordable, a great experience and the location is perfect.
“Beautiful”
this hotel has a great view and great location and a pool overlooking the city you can easily walk to the ocean and downtown within 5 minutes the rooms are lovely, large and airy. I had a great time there!
“Best kept secret in the centro”
Old world charm in the heart of the downtown (centro) district. Within walking distance of the Matecon Artwalk and Market area. Located high on a hill, the walk up and down can be a little challenging, but well worth it. Not recommended for those using wheelchairs, canes, or walkers. Don't let the neighborhood scare you, it's very safe. No problem walking anywhere, day or night. The locals are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
“Great location”
This hotel has one of the best locations in Puerto Vallarta -- just minutes to the Malecon. The view is spectacular and the staff was very gracious and helpful. This is not a luxury hotel, just a great place to stay at a reasonable price with a good location. The only drawback is that you need to be part mountain goat to take the stairs up to the hotel. You can get a cab from the Malecon for $3-$4 and it is worth it. We have been to PV many times and enjoyed the location and the reasonable price.
“Hilltop Secrets”
What a wonderful and pleasant hotel. Older but very quaint and reasonable. Absolute spectacular ocean views and great sunsets. Very close to everything and walking dist. to Malecon (10mins). Solo traveller looking for solitude and RR. Love PV and will return again, again and again.
“Charming with breathtaking view”
This is not a 'luxury' hotel, but a wonderful experience nonetheless. The floor to ceiling city and ocean view made my heart sing :) But you will hear everything going on in the town below, including loud disco music until the wee hours of the morning -might be good to bring earplugs. And some mornings the hot water was sketchy, but the weather was so warm i didn't need it. There is a handy stairway of stone steps that take you down to town and malecon. All in all, I loved it :)
“Absolutly Beautiful”
If you are looking for a quite place to stay the place is La Siesta. My sister and I had a wonderful stay there. If you are looking to get away for awhile and really experience a little bit of Mexico, La Siesta is the place. At this Hotel you are only a couple of blocks from the Malecon or Bordwalk and everything is pretty much within walking distance. The most enjoyable part of this Hotel is that it is placed on a hill so you are able to wake up every morning and see a beautiful view of the city and the bay. Absolutly amazing. This Hotel allows you to truly expereince Mexico, not just go to another resort. Also tip the help. They work so hard for you for so very little, they would greatly appreciate it.
