“Bliss”
Perfect for relaxation. For the entire duration of my stay (nine days), I didn't have a single worry of care. I never had to go looking for a drink, the service staff came to me. Food, drink, amenities, etc., were available around the clock. This hotel focuses on SERVING you. I felt attended to, but not bothered. I can't remember a time that I was as relaxed as I was during my stay at Hotel Riu Vallarta. If you are looking to be waited on and served, this is the place to go. Beach: gorgeous. Hotel Room: Clean and comfortable. Staff: Superior Hospitality. Food: Excellent (especially at their specialty restaurants). Relaxation Factor: Unparalleled! In summary, I would return to Hotel Riu Vallarta for another relaxing vacation. I'm a 30 year-old male, and took this trip alone. My relaxation was not interrupted by families, kids, etc. The resort does a good job of providing something for everyone.

“Great Hotel with a perfect beach!”
We had a great stay at the Riu Vallarta. We had an ocean view room with a great balcony that we could enjoy view from. The room was great, seperate sitting area, big bathroom, king sized bed (a little uncomfortable). The pool was a great temperature, always plenty of lounge chairs. The staff were great, very friendly and happy to help in any way. Great expanse of beach in front of the hotel with plenty of chairs, and the ocean was warm enough to swim in. We would definitely stay at the Riu Vallarta again.

The people at Riu Vallarta were really, really pleasant! You need it, they're on it. And for an all inclusive, the food was super. There were not stingy with the booze either (bottles in the room, for example). The beach was nice, the water was warm and swimable, but it isn't crystal blue if that is what you're looking for. For that type of water, you have to go take a boat ride elsewhere. But there is a pool with a swim up bar, tables, lounging areas, etc. The rooms were also pretty nice (big, etc.) but not super plush. Who is staying in the room in Puerto Vallarta anyway though? I think for the price, this place is hard to beat.

The grounds & hotel were very well maintained. Our room was very spacious with everything in top working order and modern as well as very clean. The only part that I found was not satisfactory was that the bar could be quite loud in the late evening, early morning hours. Would suggest shutting down the bar at midnight with no exceptions. The nightly entertainment could of been more exciting...pretty boring. The daily activities were well planned and staff got people playing and enjoying themselves. The Paella being cooked on the beach was a highlight, very well put together and tasty. I enjoyed all the meals as they were of high quality and tasty, as well the restaurants and restaurant staff were excellent. Sure was a treat!
“Second Visit”
This wad our second visit to this all-inclusive resort. We had a junior suite, which afforded plenty of room. Ocean-view balcony. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Food was quite good, with the breakfast buffet outstanding. We wanted a quick getaway with no hassles and that was exactly what we got!
“Riu is for you!”
I would recommend this hotel to everyone (and have)! We absolutely loved it. The hotel was the cleanest hotel I have EVER been in. The staff was wonderful and the food was fabulous. Have to love buffetts. We ate at the asian restaurant one night.....delicious! Loved the adults only swimming pool! Our room was beautiful and overlooked the the pools and out into the ocean. I would go back to this hotel but look forward to staying at other Riu hotels. All inclusive is the way to go.

We went there in 2008 and had such a great time. This year we returned there after looking at other places and brought friends back with us. They said they would also recommend it to others.
