“Stylish and comfortable”

Well furnished suite in such a beautiful town. The kitchen was spectacular! The maid even put our dishes in the dishwasher when we were out for the day.

“Great location for a good hotel”

This is a lovely hotel in a very nice location. We stayed in a studio apt, so it felt much more comfortable than a hotel room. It's also in a great location, just a 5 min walk to Steamers wharf.

“Wonderful experience - hard to fault”

The hotel is called Outrigger at the Beacon and sits overlooking Lake Wakatipu. If you can get a lake view it is sensational - the rooms are huge -essentially they are apartments with big lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms with ensuite and big picture windows to showcase the views. Quite a new hotel. Good parking underneath which is helpful. Very close to Downstown Queenstown where there are loads of eating options. Good thing because there is no restaurant in the hotel for dinner. Great place for outdoor activities

“Excellent Views”

Had a great stay over Christmas in the two bedroom apartment. The apartment was high quality with excellent facilities, and the views were fantastic. Ample parking and friendly helpful staff. Easy walk into the centre of town.

“Great Hotel”

This hotel was stunning, a level 5 minute walk to the center of Queenstown with very helpful staff. My only dissatisfier was that the spa pool was indoors and you had to make appointments to use it - they have a terrific terrace with awesome views - it is a shame to not be able to sit out there in the pool under the stars. I will definitely use this hotel again.

“Very nice, close to downtown”

This hotel was clean and nice by american standards - not always the case in NZ. The walk to the main downtown was 5 minutes or less. Directly across the street is a beach and walking trail. Great views of the lake. Would definitely recommend!

“Far better hotels in Queenstown”

Yes, Queenstown is a tourist destination, but there are far better hotels. For less money too. The hotel was OK, but a hodge-podge of construction. Built into the side of a hill overlooking the lake, the room views were not all that good. The hotel seems to cater more to its apartments than its rooms and the room ergonomics weren't that well designed. That said, the shower was terrific, and that's the reason I gave the hotel a 4. If you don't care about room ergonomics and do care about the shower, this is a good hotel.
