“Will definately stay there again.”

I stayed there 2 years ago and it was clean and comfortable. This time, the same thing, very good customer service and clean. I will definately stay there again and would recommend it to others.

“Clean-Clean-Clean”

Older family run hotel with lots of attention to detail. My wife dropped a small item of jewellery on floor of bathroom and I had to look for it with a flashlight - this would be a scary project in some hotels- but not this one, clean everywhere! Owner extremely friendly, only problem we did not see the bears that he told us would be out at night. Have stayed in hotels at twice this rate and not up to this standard. Highly recommended-do not be deceived by outside "old-style" appearance.

“Great place would very much like to stay again”

Had a great experience with this hotel. The staff was great, very helpful & fun to talk to, the room was very clean, the retro "Steam Bath" shower was super fun, and they were very pet friendly. The decor was dated (made me want to grow a beard to fit in) but in a fun way. Assigned parking for each room was nice as well. Only complaints were about the very firm bed (not my style), the limited breakfast offerings (continental style), and the difficulty with finding the actual hotel phone number and not a number that lead here to Expedia. I would have like to have been able to talk to the hotel directly instead of having to wait 2-3 minutes for the Expedia rep to call them each time I asked a question. Overall this place is an excellent bargain for the price, and even if it were a little more expensive the awesome staff would have us coming back again. Note - this is bear country. They get nightly visits from "Dumpster Bears" so be sure to move any food in your car into the hotel for the night.

“Nice older motel - avoid the owner!”

This quaint, small motel has been updated and renovated, and the interiors are comfortable and inviting. Tim, at the front desk, was friendly and helpful, and he made us feel welcome. One small problem was that in our room, the internet service was unavailable. None of out internet-ready devices could stay connected to the motel network, when we could even find it. I called the front desk and Tim said he would reboot the network. When this did not improve the connectivity, he said he would check with the owner. My family and I decided to go to dinner. Since, I could not check on-line reviews or directions,I returned to the lobby area to get dining suggestions. Just as I arrived, a man came out of the RV parked in front of the lobby, apparently in a foul temper, and entered the lobby ahead of me. Before I could ask Tim for directions, the man stated to Tim that he "got on the internet immediately" and that there was "nothing wrong with the network." I apologized and explained the problem I was having. He asked what room I had, then very curtly told me I could always come out to the patio or dining room to use my computer if I wanted better signal. He then went stomping back to his RV. To be fair, the description given only states "Wireless Internet Access" not that it is in every room, but this could have been explained in a more appropriate manner. I would stay here again, but would ask for a room nearer the modem - and I would avoid the owner!

“Transportation”

The motel was comfortable. If you are coming in by Bus or Train, you need to make an agreement before arrival for someone to pick you up as there is no taxi service. Preferrably call a couple of days before to let them know the day and time you are arriving. Very quiet, lovely town with no blatant tourist fal de lal.
