“Very nice”
The staff at the hotel were very nice. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but they gave me another room so I wouldn't have to wait. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was EASY and QUICK! Wonderful stay in Rehoboth Beach for our first trip to the beach this year - 2012!
“OCEAN BREEZES”
GREAT HOTEL AND CLOSE TO THE MAIN STRIP WHICH WAS A NICE WALK ON THE BOARDWALK FROM THE HOTEL. JUST WALK OUT ABCK AND YOU ARE ON THE BEACH AND CAN WALK ALONG THE OCEAN FRONT. ROOM WAS LARGE AND FACING THE OCEAN, BATHROOM WAS NEW AND VERY NICE
“Good Stuff”
The location was super, the staff was even better. 1st time ever to Rehoboth, would go back to same hotel without question.
“Good Hotel in a great location”
While it may not be the most fanciest, it is indeed a good hotel for the money and it is right on the beach at the northern end of Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Since the boardwalk is not long, everything on it is easily accessible. Once you park your car, there is no need to move it until you leave. The Henlopen is a good value for the money and its right on the beach too. I'd certainly recomend it and will consider staying again.
“Location, location...”
Great for families. Beach outside the door, just across the boardwalk; 5-minute walk to Rehoboth Avenue, ice cream, taffy, games, band concerts; 7 minutes to "vacationners' grocery" (all essentials). Quiet. Will return.
“Oceanfront Delight!”
My wife and I had a truly wonderful time at the Henlopen Hotel. We had an oceanfront room that allowed us to walk to the beach, boardwalk, or local restaurants in minutes. And the room was clean and attractive, including a large shower and chairs and table on the deck to enjoy the ocean. The staff were very gracious and helpful when we had questions. The neighborhood is quaint with many unique homes, shops, and super restaurants. And the shopping malls are a close driving distance away from the beach -- great discounts! We had a delightful time at the Henlopen Hotel!
“The best deal in Rehoboth Beach”
OK, the Hotel is older and could use some updating, but the staff are wonderful and the location is the best if you are looking to escape the crowds yet still easily access the boardwalk and all Rehoboth has to offer. The room was spacious and clean and had been updated. The oceanfront view was incredible and there is nothing like enjoying your morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the surf. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and to ensure a pleasureable stay. This was our second stay at the Henlopen and we'll keep coming back. It is the best deal on the beach!
“Great deal for a great time of year!”
Our young family decided to spend the week after Labor Day at the beach. it was the best time to go and the Henlopen Hotel was the perfect choice. Right on the beach with access to the boardwalk, too. It is an "old school" hotel with an elevator and not a lot of frills. But the rooms are clean, the staff is super-friendly and you get what you need for a vacation: time alone with your family. 5 stars. And thanks!
“Stay on the Beach”
Great hotel, great value, AWESOME location! While the hotel definitely needs some remodeling (there was a special trick for getting the door open because they stick), the room was clean and comfortable. They offered a very simple continental breakfast, and the staff was friendly. However, what made this hotel excellent was the view. Our room overlooked the ocean, and it was just a few steps from the back of the hotel to the sand and surf. It was also about 4/10 of a mile from the main drag of Rehoboth Beach. The price was unbeatable for its location! We'll definitely return :)
“Great beach location”
Liked everything about this hotel EXCEPT the fact that the two helpers in the breakfast room were too busy watching TV to watch the coffee-pot (which was empty two mornings during the continental breakfast hours).
