“Berkley Hotel Richmond”
I really enjoy my stay. The neighborhood is great. The hotel was clean and quiet.
“Will definitely stay again!”
Perfect location in downtown Richmond! Loved the hotel & staff. Parking could be cheaper ($18 per day plus valet tip) but overall it was a great experience for a great price!
“Excellent value!”
Upscale basic. Beautiful room, wireless, basic cable TV, no fitness on site, safe area, very service-oriented staff, superb chef. Loved it.
“We would celebrate another anniversary there”
Our stay; however brief, was wonderful. The room was more than I expected with a balcony on the top floor. This downtown hotel was very quiet at night. The bathroom was very large and spacious. The chocolates are an extra bonus. Our only complaint is with the valet parking. The cost is excessive. We opted not to use this service as we have nearby relatives. However, to my dismay, the front desk clerk wished to automatically charge us for the service upon check out. We had to inform her that we did not use the service. I am awaiting my credit card statement to confirm that I ,indeed ,was not charged for a service we did not use.
“Impressive”
Quite suprised by the luxory of this hotel. Would go back again. The King suite was beautiful.
“Lovely hotel!”
We enjoyed our stay at the Berkley-there are numerous really good places to eat right there-one does not have to drive! Our room was just great-very clean and comfortable, and the staff are so helpful...we usually find a parking place for ourselves so we don't have to use the valets every time we go out...but that is a personal choice...we usually know where we are going while we are in Richmond....a great hotel, and a superb location!
“Love the downtown scene”
great location, and the hotel staff was very friendly. did not try the restaurant, too manyother choices close by.
“Very comfortable hotel! The staff were very gracious and the room was neat and clean.”
I enjoyed my stay at the Berkely. It's a great hotel!
“Great Boutique Hotel”
When we got our first room, it was a king and extremely small. (The bathroom was nice even thought the room was tiny). We really needed a double but had to stay in the small King bedroom the first night since the hotel was sold out . They told us to pack our things and that they moved us to a double while we were away during the day. They moved us to junior suite with double beds and the room was was huge. It had a desk, the double beds, an armoire, large chest of drawers, a couch with a pull out bed and a comfy chair. It was super comfortable. The location of the hotel is really great. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance and a Starbuck just across the way. We found a public parking garage down the street that was $8 for over night-it is across from the Omni. That was easier than the valet at the hotel.
“A true Gem”
The Berkeley was outstanding! A charming place to stay. The location was within walking distance of fine restaurants and nice pubs. The room was clean and the bed and linens were extremely comfortable. The staff was exceptional, they made excellent recommendations on shopping, dining and transportation. A very classy hotel. The only negative statement I can make is the carpet in the reception area was worn, but it somehow added to the charm.
