“The right place to stay in Riga”
Hotel was nice, located perfectly and staff was friendly. Loved the hotel.
“Morgan's & Harriss's from London & Pembrokshire”
Fabulous little hotel with great staff and rooms. So well located for all the sights of Old Riga and many very good restaurants in the area, particularly De Gusto Cafe which is actually a restaurant with a superb chef from Moscow, it is also one of the best value places we ate at and is 20 meters from the hotel. Highly recommend a trip to the Opera which is incredibly inexpensive, four tickets in the Royal Balcony 15 Lts approx £20 for all four, amazing and a beautiful place. The hotel also arranged for a guide to drive us to the Sigula area, slightly pricey at 19 Lts each but a lovely and very enthusiastic guide. If you are after a sports bar then try 'Paddy Whelans' a bit tatty but very friendly and they serve a good cheap curry. Will probably return in the Autumn when temperatures are above -16.
“superb”
Great hotel in city center. Always stay in this hotel. The best of the best!
“Central hotel, clean and efficient”
Central location in Old Town, the hotel was clean with modern décor and exposed brick walls revealing it's historic past. The room was small (it was difficult to walk around the double bed without banging your leg on the sharp corner) but was well appointed. The shower room was also small but had an excellent shower. Room ventilation was poor - they turn the a/c off in winter months, but this led to a build up of humidity as wet clothes hung around the room (it was sleeting outside and close to zero degrees). The room and hotel were tasteful decorated with photographs from the heyday of Riga in the early 20th Century. Professional and courteous staff helped towards an enjoyable stay exploring the city.
“Super Hotel”
Wonderful hotel. Food was excellent and service superb. Convenient location. Would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in November.
“Newly remodelled and in a great location”
It's a nice little hotel in a quiet location, and it's been newly remodelled so the rooms are all in pretty good shape. I was totally satisfied and would definitely stay here again if coming to Riga.
“Great Hotel”
Had a fantastic 4 night stay at Hotel Veisturs, staff were really friendly and helpful. Really central location. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, cant fault it. Would definately go back.
“Great Option and Great Value!”
Really great hotel with a great location, walkable from train and bus stations, yet very much in the heart of things in old Riga. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfortable, modern and spacious rooms. Would definitely recommend.
“Good Hotel in Old Riga”
my wife and i spent 4 nights in this hotel inn old riga. (early May) excellent location, very helpful staff, good breakfast, room very quiet & comfortable. riga lovely place for city brak. some good excursions taken on public transport .Train taken to Majori in Jurmala region. also took tram out to Mezeparks area. All bars restuarants serving good quality food at very reasonable prices. There was also a Harvester type restaurant chain called LIDO. very cheap & quality fod done in a Latvian way. Overal experience - excellent. p.s weather was superb!!
“Great location, great room, great service @ not a bad price”
Of the three hotels I stayed while in the Baltics this was my favorite. Start with the location. It is very easy walking distance from the main bus station, even with luggage. The bus to the airport is even closer. (a savings of about $20 each way). Better yet the hotel is located on a side street in the old town. Again easy walks to anything I wanted to see, lots of places to eat. Because it was on a side street it was very quiet at night, The room is very nicely decorated as is the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, fresh with many choices. Both the young ladies at the desk some some English and were very helpful (they provides a map and explained where the sites were and what bus to take to the airport). If I ever make it back to Riga, I will try and stay at the Boutique Hotel Viesturs.
