“5 stars for a 3 star hotel”
I read a few reviews going into our one night stay, and many were awful. I was hopeful however; and we were very pleased with our stay. We got a king bedroom for a great deal through expedia unpublished rates, so this added to our satisfaction. Much was updated in the room, it felt very clean and cozy with a nice aesthetic. Most importantly, the bed smelled clean, looked clean and was very comfortable. This is the most important thing to me in a hotel room, how I will sleep, and I slept great. The bed lacked a top quilt so it got a little chilly in the night, and there were no extra blankets to be found. The carpet was new and the furniture was too. The blowdryer was from the 70s or earlier, which we found amusing, but didn't get a chance to try it out. The tub looked like it could use an update, I wouldn't dare sit in it. The toiletries were the cheapest of the cheap, glad I brought my own. The coffee only had powdered creamer offered, which to my surprise didn't taste half bad. The hotel clerk on our arrival was very thoughtful and attentive, on our departure another clerk didn't even look me in the eye. So these are my only complaints, and for the price they don't phase my overall extreme satisfaction. I wanted to be sure to give this hotel a boost is star power. It was better than we expected.
“Quality, Especially for the price”
It looks like this hotel got run down, but they have been working to gt it back up to snuff. Only downfall was our AC went out in the night. I am sure they would have moved us, but our child was sleeping and we didn't want to go through that. They did bring us a box fan. The attached water park is very nice, if not huge.
“Decent stay for the price”
Not the Ritz but managed by a good staff and A decent value. I would recommend..
“Will come back”
I was happy with this hotel. The rooms where very large clean and comfortable. I would stay again.
“Comfortable rooms.”
Front desk personal was indifferent. Snow had not been removed from sidewalks. Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Buildings are old.
“Not as impressive as the name implies...”
Maybe the rest of the hotel was nice somewhere but our section wasn't overly impressive.
“Good Stay”
Overall the hotel was good and perfect for the night. We got a great deal through Expedia.com and basically needed a place to relax for the night. The front desk person was very nice and was able to put us in a room with a patio, even though it was cold out, it was nice to have. The room was a great size and the bed was good. The only main issue I had was the water pressure/temperature. I didn't feel like the water pressure was all that good and you could turn the knob all the way and it was still just luke warm. But other than that it was a perfect place for Christmas night.
“pay more for the water park”
I found out afer i got to the hotel that the water was an extra charge. We did not have a fridge in the room and not any outlet so i could not use my c-pac. Tile in bathroom cracked and floors in hallways could nbe cleaner.Only 1 ice amke on second f;oor took me 10 minutes to find. NOT A 3 STAR HOTEL.
