“Economical and Clean”
Clean place to stay, no big frills, just a comfortable place to sleep and get ready for the day. I would stay again in the future. Rockford is my hometown, and so this was in the center of where I wanted to be.
“Rest in Rockford”
We reserved two rooms and paid in advance to get the best price, a first for us. A pleasant suprise at our late check-in when everything went smoothly. Everything functioned as it should in our king suite with fridge and microwave. Oh, don't forget to make sure the safe charge is removed if you don't use the safe, an old Choice hotels trick. FYI, the window AC/heater unit has fan with no heat or cool if you need a white noise source for sleeping. Small gripes - the hot tub was empty and no newspapers on Saturdays.
“Good, Clean Place to Stay”
The service was efficient, the room was clean and I would return if in the area.

“Average”
Location was convenient, clerks were efficient. This hotel has a policy of charging their clients a fee of $100 if they see evidence of smoking in a non-smoking room. We booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled like old smoke. I had to bring this to the attention of the front desk, so they didn't charge us. Other than that, the room was OK.
“Don't stay”
The room had no heat. It took 25 minutes for them to respond.
“Good for our requirements”
The first night the air conditioner in our room did not work. The staff did not have a maintenance person available until Monday and this was Friday night. The next day I requested a room change. It took a bit of doing, but the staff did put us in a room that more than met our requirements and was extremely comfortable. I would suggest that the hotel have a maintenance person on call for the weekend for just such problems. One night of discomfort was enough.
“Outdated but good value”
For the most part we had a nice stay.Breakfast every morning was great and well stocked!The pool area always had towels and seemed to be kept up. I wish there would have been a hot tub. When I 1st checked in I was assigned a smoking room even though when I booked through expedia I called to make sure it was going to be non-smoking.I even called the HOTEL the day before my arrival to inform them that I would be arriving very late and to make sure I would be given a non-smoking room,they reassured me it was.When I got there they told me it was only a request not a guarantee.Due to asthma I was given what I needed.Other than our TV the entire hotel is in need of renovations (very outdated),but our room was very clean upon checkin.However,the hallways were not cleaned during our stay because there was trash/crumbs in the hall for 3 days.Our first day our room did not get cleaned. They said it was because we had our sign on our door, but we left at noon and I took the sign down. When I called down to the front desk they said that if the housekeeper cleans all the rooms by ours and we still have our sign out they will not come back to check. A msg stating why they didnt clean our room would've been nice. The front desk did apologize to me and sent someone with fresh towels. Overall I would stay here again, even with little hiccups it was a good value when you are on a tight budget.Front desk staff was friendly!
