“Great Hotel”
When going to Rome, I picked one of the cheaper hotels on Expedia and was extremely surprised at how nice it was. The hotel is a couple of blocks from Termini station so it's convenient for taking the Metro or the Hop on Hop off busses. There are several restaurants around the corner as well. The rooms were clean (we had 2 different rooms) and were a good size for 2 people. The rooftop bar was only open our last night due to the weather, but it was nice. The staff is friendly. I would definitely stay there on my next visit.
“A great choice in Rome”
The hotel was in a great location to the main train station (Termini - several blocks) metro stops, walking to sites, and many restaurants just around the corner. The staff were all wonderful and friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and good. There was a cheap internet area only 2 blocks away.
“would go back!”
good hotel, near termini and within walking distance of all the sights. also near the metro and bus stops if required. terrace really good- great views and good bar prices.
“Very Pleased”
My wife and I stayed in hotels in Rome, Athens and Valleta, Malta last month and tried to stay within a budget, which is tough with the Euro to Dollar ratio at 1.5 to 1. Rome was harder for us to book moderately priced rooms in - even several months in advance. So we paid more at the Hotel Nord, but it was the nicest hotel by far, and it's only three blocks to the train, subway and bus central stations (they're all together.) We easily made up the price difference by using the subway instead of cabs, and it's really nice to be that close to your hotel after a transcontinental flight/train ride. It's also near the Colloseum and many other attractions. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely go back.
“Can't go wrong here”
I arrived in Rome by train.....the hotel is a couple blocks away across from the National museum of Rome. Very clean room and the front desk staff is GREAT. All knew english and was very helpful. Breakfast is limited but enough to get you out the door. Would stay again if I return
“fully functional”
The free wifi was fast enough to use logme in on my desktop back home. The staff were helpfull. Room was clean and spacious. Blackout curtains and shutters actually create a blackout, which is rare. All good, happily revisit.
“Brilliant for a 3 star”
The hotel is literally 5mins from the main train station in Roma. Lots of restaurants around to sample the cuisine. All the sights are with in walking distance - given a map by the hotel. Staff are lovely. Would definitely return.
“Just got back...”
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The roof-top bar was a nice place to relax and the staff was friendly. The hotel is a block from the train station and across the street from the National Museum of Rome. Be prepared to walk to the major sites, but we can't complain; the walks were fine. You need to either take a cab (recommended) to the Vatican (though we walked back), as we do not recommend taking the bus. Good restaurants are located nearby. All said, we enjoyed our stay in Rome and at the Hotel Nord. FYI: You can book airport transportation at the hotel.
“Superb central hotel”
This was a great place to stay to explore the sites of central Rome. Its just a few minutes walk from Termini station, and just a few mins from the underground stations. The room was a good size, and comfortable. The bathroom was done out in marble and again was good. Hotel staff were friendly and spoke English. Its near a noisy road - but we were OK with the window and shutters shut. Roof Terrace is great in the evenings. Breakfast was continental and a good start to the day. Would definately use again if our Trevi Fountain wish comes true.
“Another wonderful stay at the Hotel Nord Nuova Roma”
Having stayed at this hotel a few years back, I opted to make my return visit to the Nord Nuova Roma since this time I would be accompanied by first-time visitors to Rome. The hotel is conveniently situated, making the trips to various points of interest very easy, as it is located near the Termini Station, with access to busses and the Metro. The rooms are exceptionally clean with the added comfort of air-conditioning. A bountiful, cold buffet breakfast is available each morning, served with choice beverages (hot & cold). The staff is most cordial and helpful and speak English. I look forward to another stay at the Hotel Nord Nuova Roma.
