“First choice in Rome”
The hotel is high in standard and it exceeds my expectation. The quality of the room is extraordinary good. They have everything you find in a decent hotel, including a safe box, which is very convenient for sightseeing, because you don't need to carry all your valuable things while travelling. They provide very good breakfast. The coffee and orange juice are excellent. The only shortcomings are the location and no free wifi.
“Somewhere to sleep but not to eat...”
Hotel was good, front desk staff could gossip less and be more customer service focused. Our room was nice, clean and airy. The housekeeping staff did a great job while we were there. However the restaurant didn't live up to hotel's 4 star rating. Some of the staff were observed making fun of diners and the food was very very average and overpriced, some of it looked like it was reheated 2 or 3 times.
“better than average as long as you don't want to be in the throng of the city.”
The hotel was fine. It's about 20 minutes on the bus (number 32) from the hotel to the Vatican/nearest Metro near it so not to far from Central Rome and it's actually quite nice to get away from the tourists in the evenings. There are lovely bars and restaurants a walk away too (full of Italians) rather than tourist). The hotel is just a normal 4 star hotel. bBeakfast is ham, cheese, bread, croissants etc.
“weekend in Rome”
Hotel generally very good, rooms very comfortable and above average for Italy. Some staff excellent and some not! Restaurant ok but nothing special, breakfast good. Location good, not noisy 15euros for taxi into central Rome, walking distance to stadio flaminio and stadio olimpico
“A fantastic bargain”
All the reviews of this hotel are compeltely unjust, the only thing I can think of is that it's rated as a four star hotel. It's not, but it's still lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was nice and you could get cheap simple food from the restaurant. The only thing I'd say is brush up on your Italian and learn how to get into the centre before you go, it's difficult to work out once your there and most of the hotel staff don't speak a lot of English. I do recommend this hotel for students especially; it's very affordable and comfortable, and really worth the money.
“good for this price”
this is nice big hotel, bit far away from city center but good connected with bus, breakfast was good for this price but coffe was .......... should be better in Italy!!!
“Cheap & average”
Chose this hotel because it was arguably close to Stadio Olimpico (I was attending a soccer game). Relatively cheap. Front desk staff were ridiculously slow - even if you are the only person waiting, they would find a way to disregard you or talk on the phone for 5 minutes before acknowledging your presence. In my third encounter, I had to be a little rough and interrupt their conversation; after that, everything seemed to be a bit smoother. The room was very small (sounds like this is the case in most hotels there anyway) but otherwise clean. Interestingly, the cleaning people would start yelling at each other in the hallways around 6:30 am or so every morning. Italian temper? The TV had 3 programs - my brother and I were joking that they were RAI 1, RAI 2, and RAI 3. But again, who cares about TV when you are in Rome, right? The bathtub had a hole. In other words, everytime one of us tried using it, there was water flowing all over the floor. The breakfast was absolute garbage. Ate the first day; ate outside the rest of the time. Overall - average hotel - the 4 stars are a joke. Probably the equivalent of a 2-star Comfort Inn in the US. Not much to expect for this price, I guess. Hope this helps the potential visitors.
“Very Average Hotel.”
Very clean hotel with Taxi stand outside and was close to Macdonalds + not too far out from Foro Italico where they held the ATP/WTA Tennis Masters. The only real issue was that public transport to central Rome was a little far out and the Hotel menu didnt have much choices so after 9pm would be difficult to find a place to eat. Not much night life around here either. Hotel Staff understood English but not very clear when talking!
“I would definatly not go back.”
If you are planning on seeing Rome this is not the place for you. It is way out of the City Center. You have to either take a bus and a train to get into the city, or spend $15 euros each way on a taxi, if you can find one. The attitude at the front desk was like they could care less if you stayed there or not. There are a few resturants in the area, but if you are there on a Sunday, you're out of luck. They are all closed. That leaves only the hotel resturant which is average at best and expensive. The walls are pretty thin. On our floor there was someone playing a violin, and a couple fighting all night long. Hotel security didn't put a stop to it until 3:00 AM. Shop around, you can do better than this place.
“Will not be going back to this hotel”
This hotel was a let down from the word go. The staff were nice enough but did not go out of their way to help. No information about the local area or Rome were avaliable for us and not even a map so we could find our way back to the hotel! The rooms were clean but basic. The batrooms were so small it's not funny, we had to walk side-ways to get past the toilet and sink to have a shower. The breakfasts were also basic with not many options. And just to top it off it costs a fortune to get there from the airport. DO NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL FLEMMING!
