“Beautiful hotel in great location”
We chose this hotel for its perfect location, right on Via del Corso, the best shopping street in Rome, and for its room rates through Expedia, which were great for this highly desirable area between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. The hotel was built in 1860 and its public areas are just beautiful. Nice carpets, crystal chandeliers, artwork on the walls and the ceilings, an amazingly large grand piano, etc. We felt like royalty staying there. Our family room (2 rooms with a shared bath) was lovely. It had high ceilings, air conditioning, and was very clean. The staff was friendly and helped us to book a reservation to see the art museum at Villa Borghese, to check hours at the Vatican, and to find restaurants. Finally, the breakfast buffet was excellent. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Rome.
“Great place, bad month.”
The hotel is situated right in the heart of Rome. We woke up daily to musician's playing below our window on Via Del Corso. The style of the hotel fits in perfectly with Rome. Our only complaint was because of our stay during the month of August, most of the hotel staff was on vacation and many amenities were unavailable.
“Grand Hotel Plaza-Rome, Italy”
The Grand Hotel Plaza is a modern hotel with a wonderful flavor of the Old World. Although located on a busy street, we found the rooms to be large and quiet. The hotel is near the Spanish Steps and has a great location for shopping and securing a taxi. We found the staff to be heplful with regard to tours and directions. This is a deserved mult-star hotel.
“Excelent Location !”
A great hotel in a great location. There are lots of restaurants, pubs, stores, and attractions with in walking distance. This was my second time staying at this hotel. I will stay at it again in the future.
“Great location, close to everything within walking distance.”
The hotel was in a great location which made our touring in the city much easier. Breakfast was in a beautiful grand room and full of variety. The rooms were unusually big and very comfortable. We only thought that the rate was more in accord to a 5 star hotel. We would go back again.
“Will Consider this Hotel when I go back”
Great hotel. Spacious rooms. Great location. Great for a family
“Grand Hotel - Rome”
Absolutely gorgeous interior, domed ceilings, palatial in the social area adjacent to the lobby. Our room was roomy and comfortagle. Concierge very helpful. Breakfast came with our stay, excellent buffet with many choices. My complaint is they sprayed (actually I'm not sure how the scent got in there, I'm assuming spray)the room with some type of strong perfume, probably to mask past smokers. The smell was overwhelming and actually caused me to get a sinus infection. We asked them not to do it, but the message didn't get across. If the travelers don't have any allergies, it wouldn't bother them. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful.
“wonderful italian experience”
this hotel was in a GREAT location. lots of shopping, near the pantheon and near piazza de pompo. would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again
“Pefect location”
This is my 5th time in Rome, but I never stayed in this Hotel, in my openion it has the best location, I love the hall inside, reciption were friendly, rooms need to have a little renovation, bathrooms were clean, breakfast wasn't impressing, but to any one need a location in the middle of every thing here is the best Hotel for that.
“Great Location”
The Hotel was located in a very safe central part of the Rome area. The staff spoke english well and helped with arrangements. When the tour I booked to the Vatican was cancelled on late notice the Hotel promptly got us on a different tour that turned out wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. It is an old Hotel so you must take that into consideration, but it is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
