“Honey moon at the Hotel Area in Rome”
Very good hotel. Quiet, clean, close to metro, very good breakfast, nice polite staff. Wi fi only in the lobby, shower cabin is a bit too small and rooms need little refurbishing. But overall the experience was very plesant! We went to Rome for our honeymoon, and the hotel was very good for that! (The room view was very nice too! ))
“Spur of the moment getaway”
Trip was spur of the moment due to cheap airfare w/hotel offers. Hardest part was figuring out hotel: in city center, metro accessible, accurate rating, safe area? Pictures looked good. In person hotel is nicer than pictures. Building has been well renovated - rooms are not small - just right size. Decor is modern and comfortable w/ flat screen, mini frig, and WiFi. Most will say shower is small (no tub) but again bathroom is modern/very clean. Staff was great - spoke English. They helped w/directions, things to see/do and shared practical tips. Only drawback might be - this hotel is not in city center - my error in reading map/mixing up names. But it is located only two blocks from the Marconi metro. The area seems good. Hotel entrance is at the back/side of the building and may be unnerving at night. But building is actually next to a police station. Felt/looked safe but always be careful. Train was easy/quick - ran until 11:30 each night. There is a bus stop too. Breakfast is more substantial than typical toast and coffee but same every day. A nearby cafe is open in mornings for a different breakfast choice. No restaurants nearby for dinner but plenty of choices along metro stops so plan to eat out. Take the metro to Termini station to express train to airport far cheaper than cab takes only an hour. Despite not being located in city center I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Far greater value than the price paid.
“Passed”
Excellent Option for the price.
“Great value for the money! Would definitely stay at this hotel again!”
The good: The hotel reception staff (especially Arianna) are very friendly, upbeat and helpful. The room and hotel was very clean, comfortable and modern. The breakfast was great, it included everything you can think of and was hot and fresh. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the Marconi station, taking you to the Colesseum and tourist areas in just 10 minutes. The bad: Showers are a little small.
“Quite neighbourhood”
++++ (positive) Quite neighbourhood, Near metro and busstation, Excellent breakfast, Friendly and helpfull stuff, Rooms are clean, TV size is good, ---- (Negative) Shower is too small and sink and mirror is not user friendly and practical, No iron in the room, Housekeeper uses parfum in the rooms, elevator, stairs and halls (Absolutely not recommended for allergic people) During certain time in the night Aircon is running, (it was cold in the night and we asked about an extra blanket),
“Great rooms”
Not happy with one of the hotel staff - bit rude and not welcoming. This lady couldnt even be bothered to help us navigate to the city center and around bearing in mind we had never been there before. However, the rest of the staff were brilliant. Rooms were fantastic could not fault it and breakfast was lovely. Was a brilliant holiday. Great hop on bus near hotel 10mins to the center of rome.
“A Hidden Gem”
The hotel had a beautiful modern decor and great hot breakfast. The room was larger than your average European hotel, but the shower was quite small. The only drawback is that the hotel is a bit off the beaten path in that it is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro stop (Marconi)and is tucked away off a main road. Still, I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. Great location if you will have a car in Rome as it is off major highways.
“Vanilla”
Getting there: If you have a car, no problem. If not: 10 minutes walk from Marconi metro. Ignore Google maps. Turn left on Via G. Marconi, cross road on pedestrian crossing, keep going same direction, thread past cars parked on pavement, garden center and other obstacles - see traveler's tip - after 10 minutes walk you will see signs to hotel round the corner on the right. Hotel itself: no restaurant or room service (I think). Breakfast quite OK, though. Hot dish, sweet and savory options. We had a cheap room. Clean, separate beds (opposite each other), no comfortable chair, widescreen TV without a Wimbledon channel :-( Bathroom with opening window (good if your wife is a nicotine addict), bidet (also good) and the legendary small shower (difficult to shower without getting your hair wet, apparently). Aircon worked in the room and landing, not in the lift. Bit of a ghost town generally when we were there - but we just wanted a clean bed and a good breakfast, and we got that.
“stay”
it was suppose to be a double bed and a single bed as i booked a triple room. but in the end is was two single bed and a foldable sofa bed. breakfast was just breakfast. nothing special nor fantastic.
“I don't know why this is rated 4 star. Not for business traveller.”
I won't be going back. I really don't understand why it is a 4 star. I have stayed in far better equipped 3 star hotels. There was no desk in the bedroom, nor internet access in the room (only downstairs in lobby). There was no electric iron in the hotel to borrow and no way to hang shirts in the bathroom (an alternative if you don't have an iron is to use the steam from the shower). The duvet did not have a cover and was dirty/marked. The hotel was not easy for taxis to get to and restaurant were not that close. There was no restaurant in the hotel, just a breakfast area. The breakfast was mediocre, fruit juice seemed to be squash/dilute orange. The staff on reception were unsmiling and somewhat surly.

EUR, Rome, Italy: A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.
