“Nice experience”
We were impressed with the courtesy and kindness of the staff. My son, who is 12 years old, was astonished someone could be so nice at the front desk. (Believe me we have traveled a lot and we have stayed at different hotels from 0 stars to 5 stars). They were very helpful, explaining how to get around Rome. They showed us our way around the city and the nearby. Don't count with a huge breakfast!
“good place to stay”
very convient to city centre.all we required for out stay. would go back
“Good Value”
The hotel is basic and does look a bit scary.Termini is not the nicest area in Rome, from a location and value for money point of view the hotel was pretty good. You can always find your way back. We had a room that was down the road from the main hotel, so lugging our bags up 5 flights of stairs (there is a lift!) then back out, down the road then up another 2 flights of stairs to be led down a dubious corridor from a gangster movie was a bit worrying, but once we were in the "hotel" part of the building it was fine and the room was secure. I was slightly mislead by the term "private bathroom" as I read this to mean en-suite , but the bathroom was down the hall and was shared by other rooms. The shower took ages to warm up and was not partcularly effective as a shower, but they were clean. We did had a sink in out room. The rooms were dark and the view is the nastly bit at the back of Termini Station, but if you are just coming back to get changed and sleep, this hotel is OK and is pretty cheap for the clenliness and quality of the room. You wouldn't spend a lot of time in the room, but in Rome that is not a bad thing. The breakfast is a bit of a pain, as we had to go back to the other part of the hotel in the morning to pick up a voucher then back down the road to a coffee shop where we had a coffee and a croissant with the voucher, which is better than nothing, and the coffee was lovely. But we only did this once as we couldn't be bothered to keep doing it every day.
“Great Location”
The Planet hotel is a 1 minute walk to the Roma Termini train station and Metro! Easy access to all that Rome has to offer. Walking up to the Planet Hotel, I was a little unsure of the location. The hotel is on the 5th floor of a building- and from the outside it really doesn't look like the nicest place. But after you make your way up the lift and are greeted by the staff, they make you feel instantly comfortable. The rooms are bare minimum, but as a tourist, I only came back to the room to sleep. Everything was clean, and they will give you a ticket for free breakfast at a cafe next to the Termini Station.
“Small and noisy”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom lacked hand towles, wash cloths, bath mat, and glasses. When partying guests arrived at 4am continuing their party, it sounded like they were in our room. While the hotel is very convenient to both the train station and buses, there are very many other hotels both in the same building and nearby streets.
“Lacks amenities”
The staff was very pleasant and quite helpful. The room was small with 2 cot like beds. The shower had only 2 thin towels, no wash cloths, mat or glasses. Some other guests came in after 4am and continued their partying. It sounded as though they were in our room. It's convenient to the train station, but there were many other options in that building and street.
“Very small”
This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. You can literally wash your hands and go to the bathroom at the same time. I couldn't even change my clothes in the bathroom because of the tight fit. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the cramped quarters.
“This hotel was a complete deception”
They need to fix a lot of stuff, hair dryer was not working, door for toilet did not work. Breakfast was a joke, supposed to be a Continental breakfast but they only give you a cup of coffee or tea, and a piece of bread, besides that, server had her nails dirty and was in a very bad mood. It was the worst breakfast taken in Europe.
