“good for budget”
the hotel was in a good central location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. there was no airconditioning though. Breakfast was served promptly. One of the best things about the hotel was the reception staff. Upon reaching there, they gave us all the appropriate information we would need to see all the main sites. In all it was a good hotel to stay when travelling under a budget.
“Clean, comfortable, conveniently located”
This hotel was perfect for our needs. Room was comfortable, free wifi, continental breakfast was enough to get us going in the morning, hotel was very conveniently located to Metro (subway) and about 10-15 minutes walk from Termini station.
“Good quality for a good price”
Hotel Seiler has an extremely good location, you can easily walk down to the city center in just 10 minutes. Coming back from the day long walk among the monuments is also easy with the metro, as the Piazza Republica station is just around the corner. The rooms are not huge, but clean and serve the purpose of sleeping very well. The breakfast was a little strange for me as they only serve sweet things, but it is an Italian tradition. Do not judge the Italian coffee from the one served with the breakfast, just on the other side of the street there is little bar, try it out there!
“Great Location”
Very good price for the location. Within easy walking of many attractions and the metro. Friendly help from the desk which is open 24 hours. Good breakfast to get you started for the day. I had a very quiet room on the 3rd floor overlooking the courtyard.
“Perfect for what you need for a trip to rome”
If your going to rome to sit in your hotel dont go here, but that would be pointless. Otherwise its perfect. The hotels in a perfect position to see all rome offers. The hotel is clean and gives you everything you need. The staff are very helpful and friendly and even help you with how to get around all the sites.Me and my girlfriend went for 3 days and were able to see everything. Due to hotels position you are able to see rome at its best, at night!I definately recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting rome.
“Good location”
Very close to Termini-10 minuits by walking. Hotel is at area of Piazza Republica. Very close to metro.Via Nazionale is in neighbouhood is extremely good for shoppers.Bus stop is very close too. You are in the city center. Roma pass is a good choice for the tourists. Entrance to the hotel-huge gates and building-impressive. There is nice inner courtyard. Stairs leading to the rooms is nice, there is an elevator. Continental breakfast included is served individually- 2 croissants, 2 brioshes, toasts, jam, honey, butter and chocolate paste, cereal, coffee, tea or cacao by choice, juice-good service for breakfast. No hair phone-small tv , room is small and cosy. Staff is nice
“Budget accommodation”
The hotel was in a great location - within walking distance to all the main sights. Breakfast was very simple but adequate and the coffee was plentiful. My room was very small (I had a single) and only had the bare basics of furniture in it but it was all I needed. I have never seen such a small bathroom! Had difficulty turning around once in the shower and had to navigate around the basin to get to the toilet. All in all - good, cheap accommodation which was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
“Serviceable for a short stay”
I stayed overnight twice on the same trip, on the day of arrival and the night before departing. The rooms are split between two sides of a palazzo. Don't accept one on the same side as the front desk: you will hear street noise and the hotel door bell being rung all night! On the other side the windows are sealed, so noise does not penetrate easily, and if you are up above the first level the street noise is considerably less. But the plumbing in the room was poor (the shower was partially plugged, and the toilet filled sluggishly). In both rooms the shower was hardly big enough to turn around in. On the other hand, there is no lack of beds: in the first room there was a queen size and two twins, and in the second a queen and three twins!
“not impressed”
There was no air conditioning. The fan the hotel supplied squeaked as soon as it ran for a few minutes. It squeaked so bad, we had to turn it off in order to sleep. There was three of us in the room, but we were only given two towels. By the time we got back from sight-seeing, it was after 10:00 pm and we were told getting another towel was going to be a problem.
“lovely building, but no plug to the washbasin”
The hotel is in a lovely 19th century building full of character. However, we were not provided with a plug for the washbasin despite asking for one on two separate occasions. Also, there was no bedside table on my husband's side of the bed, the skirting board was coming away from the wall in one place and the room was generally badly finished, though clean. Reception staff were friendly, though clearly complaints were not well coordinated.
