“Very good indeed”
This Hotel is very good value for money as even though its out of the city centre, the metro line is right at the end of the street. There is a supermarket nearby but the ease of getting to the metro means that its even better just to go into the centre. There is an excellent restaurant at the end of the street which is always busy and is full of locals, which is always a good sign. The breakfast was good and there were many items on offer between pastries and cold meats and cheeses as well as cereal. Rooms were fine, no issues and come with a safe, its not like you stay in your room for the whole stay!
“excellent value for money”
The Hotel Waldorf offers its clients excellent value for money. The room was very clean. The only complaint about the room was that the bathroom required you to walk sideways but after a few days something you get used to. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly especially Gisuseppe and one of the porters. All the receptionists spoke English extremely well. Breakfast was very good although in August the breakfast room was a little hot. Buses and the metro provide an easy link to the centre. It pays to take a weekly ticket to save queuing at the metro machines or even a monthly one if you are staying longer (these are available in the Centre).
“Nice inexpensive place to stay”
Great little hotel. just minutes from the metro makes getting around Rome a breeze.
“Would definately be happy to go back”
The Waldorf B&H is 4 stops by metro to the Vatican and the metro is about 5 mins walk max from the hotel, so a bit out of the centre of things (bus depot is in the main road about 2 mins away) - but we found it an advantage and they have a lovely peaceful courtyard garden to relax in after the hussle of the centre of Rome. We had a very nice room on the ground floor, very clean and maintained daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful but were not in any way pushy - very relaxing. Breakfast had a large selection and definately sets you up for the day. We found it very easy to get around. Used the shuttle service back to the airport which whilst some might think expensive (55 euros) was well worth it - exex car and driver spoke English - even gave us a bit of a tour! Would have no problem in booking this hotel again as found it very relaxing and comfortable and couldn't fault the staff.
“Worth every Euro”
Waldorf Hotel is not hard to find. Located within two minutes walk from Rome Metro LineA station, where you can get out easily to Rome best tourist attraction places. The Hotel room is air conditioned, and have insuite bathroom which makes it more comfortable to bath and sleep during the hot afternoon of June and July months. I booked 7 nights with open buffet Breakfast. We went for a day to Florence and another day to Venice. Both can be reached by taking the EuroStar train from the Termini Station. I realy enjoyed my stay in Rome. Thank you Expedia for the easy way to book my holiday on line.
“You get what you pay for!”
Having read a variety of mixed reviews about the hotel we were obviously anxious about the standards and rooms when we arrived.Any concerns were quickly dispelled, all the staff were pleasant and courteous. The rooms were clean, airy and the bathrooms spacious. We had booked both a double and single room, my daughter having the single room and being just as pleased with the standard. The breakfast was probably one of the best I've had at a hotel and that includes some well known London hotels!Fill up on the hotels breakfast and you can go the day without eating, local restaurants have delicious food but service is at the usual Italian pace,so have patience.Would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again, bites received were from mosquitoes ,not a sign of a bed bug, so make sure you take repellent.
“Fabulous hotel!”
It's in a great location, not bang in the centre but just a few mins walk from the buses and metro station (Cornelia). Due to maintenance works, they sent us to another hotel the 1st night, but handled our luggage well, which was waiting for us the next day in our room and a complimentary bottle of wine for us! Ok, so there's no english channel tv....but who cares? You have come on holiday, not to sit in the hotel and watch tv!!
“We'll stay there again!”
The location of this hotel was very convenient to the subway and buses and from there you could go anywhere easily. The staff was helpful whether it was asking for directions or something in the room. We had a good sized room with a brand new, lovely bathroom and a large balcony (although it did look on to an apartment building next door). The breakfast was generous and pretty good...it even included hot scrambled eggs! The coffee was from a machine which worried us a little but it turned out to be very good. The only thing I would warn people about is that if you want a cab to go to the airport, the posted rate all over the city is 40 euros. If you have the hotel call one for you, they will charge you an extra 15 euros! Don't waste your money...make the call yourself.
“Great Quality, Great Service”
I booked this hotel as part of a birthday present for my mother who is slightly disabled. After a minor problem with our original room we were moved to a wonderful replacement. The staff were friendly, courteous and very accomodating of my mothers needs. I will be re-booking again shortly for us to finish seeing the sites.
“A Roman Long Weekend”
The Hotel was in a good location just off the A(Red) Metro line. After a great breakfast buffet that carried us through most of the day, it provided us with a good launching point to see all the sights of Rome. The service at the Hotel was great to return to. A clean comfortable space to relax after a long day.
