“perfect to stay when visiting Rome”
the staff is really helpful and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside ive found is that being winter time AC did not work but heating.I personally cannot deal with heating and i had to open the windows and the room became noisy. As for the rest ,what to say ,the location is ideal to access to major sighseeings in Rome. I would stay again without hesitation
“Good Hotel - Exceed Expectation”
We stayed here for 5 nites during Xmas. We choose this hotel because it is close to the train station so we can take the train for trips to other cities. The room is very clean and the condition is as good as the pictures posted. The room is also very quiet and we did not hear any noise from the neighboring room. The hotel staff and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but good and fresh (scrambled eggs, sausage, cold cut, fresh fruits). The hotel is very near metro station and is walking distance from rome train station. The south of the train station is quite undesirable but this hotel is away from that mess.
“Excellent Rome Hotel”
A very good Hotel, in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and their restauramt recommendations were very good. The room itself was very clean and had everything that we needed. It is on a busy main raod but the noise in the hotel was not disturbing. We stayed during Valentines week and the hotel did not seem busy at all. The breakfast buffet was very good, an excellent selection of both hot and cold food and very good coffee.
“Good Rome hotel”
Good location to both main train station of Rome and metro. Most tourist destinations within 20min walk. Hotel is a nice 4*, rooms clean, tidy and up to a good standard. Standard Italian breakfast, especially liked their coffee. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone else visiting Rome
“MASCAGNI FOR OUR RETURN TRIP”
We were very impressed with the Hotel Mascagni - our 4-night stay was just excellent. A superb hotel that we would certainly recommend - we plan to go there again on our next visit to Rome. The service was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful. Convenient location - the Metro Station is just a shot walk away.
“great hotel”
excellent hotel, great location not far from termini so no need for a taxi, staff were excellent and the hotel and the rooms were very clean, my only concern was the road in front of the hotel was busy so could be noisy especially if you had a lower floor front room, but still had a great time.
“Rome for a short break”
Was taking the girlfriend for her first time to Rome and wanted a hotel that was both central and of a good standard. which I am happy to say the Hotel Mascagni was. It is by the Republica and nice and central. All of a 10 min walk from the Termini with access to the metro (Line A), 20 mins walk from the Collosseum, 15 mins from the Spanish Steps and pretty much all the major sights are all within walking distance. Granted it can mean that you spend a long time walking (Average 4 hours a day) but it is easy enough to get around and do the sights and sounds of Rome. The hotel itself was very nice. Standard of cleanliness was good, the staff were always helpful and all could speak English. Breakfast was good and a good way to fuel up for the days activities. All in all, very pleased with the hotel and have always loved Rome so I'm biased there. Girlfriend is a clean freak but was more then happy with the hotel and really enjoyed her time in Rome, even if she wasn't ready for all the walking. We will definitely be going back.

“Excellent Rome Hotel”
Everything was great about this visit to Rome. But the best part was the attentiveness of the hotel manager. He recommended an outstanding restaurant, and suggested some very special "off-the-menu" dishes to order. It was outstanding! He also recommended a wonderful musical event. Both the concert and the restaurant were within just a few blocks of the hotel.
“Good Choice”
After two weeks, first in Rome, then Florence and then in the Tuscan countryside, we stayed just overnight at the Mascagni before our flight back to the States. We chose it because it was close to the train station. During our original arrival and stay in Rome, we had chosen a hotel in Transtevere that was not well kept and not comfortable. Perhaps a little more than we would have liked to have spent and not sure about what the neighborhood was like, we had some trepidations before arriving. No need for that. The Mascagni was close to the train station as we had hoped, in a lovely neighborhood and, very comfortable with an accommodating staff.
