“North of rome...in quiet neighbourhood but a wee gem of a hotel”
This was a perfect hotel away from the husstle of central Rome. 2 minutes walk to train station and one stop away from the subway and central Rome. Rooms were clean and towels changed daily. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff very helpfull with directions, city maps and advice even with my limited Italian, and spoke very passable English. Air conditioning system was simple but it worked well.
“Remarkable deal”
First class hotel all the way. Only problem was late check-in time - 4 pm.
“Hotel Polo, Rome”
Extremely pleasant small hotel in a quiet area of Rome adjacent to the Villa Borghese gardens, a short taxi ride from the main attractions of the city,(or if you're feeling fit you can walk down through the park). We had only one reservation... the shower and toilet compartment in our room was a bit too small to accommodate a full-size toilet, bidet sink and shower, (but we got used to it). All rooms may not be the same. The sheets were changed every day, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very pleasant, (particularly the coffee). We would be happy to stay there again.
“Would definitely stay there again.”
Decor is lovely. Location great--it's an upscale residential area. About two blocks to subway station and then one stop to Rome city center. The breakfast buffet, included free, is a full breakfast--not just roll and coffe like you usually get. Had dinner in the restaurant it was excellent and medium priced for Rome--pasta dishes about $14 euros. Hotel staff is very polite and some even friendly.
“Great hotel in awesome location”
All three of us (me, my husband, and dog) loved this hotel and its service. I think they cater to American and other English-speaking business people because almost everyone spoke fluent English. The internet is free and accessible in the lobby. When a light bulb in our bathroom burnt out, we walked down to the lobby to ask for a replacement bulb or something and the repairman was up to fix it before we even got back to the room less than a minute later. Also, the neighborhood surrounding this hotel is beautiful to walk through; we did at least once a day.
“Nice Surprise!”
Hotel was in a nice, quiet, residential section of Rome, away from the crowds. Easy access to local trains and Metro. Staff pleasant and helpful--room clean and bright. Full breakfast, a great way to start the day. Variety of restaurants in close proximity to hotel. Would definitely recommend this establishment.
“Quiet and secure, prompt service”
This is a great hotel to stay in. Staff was a little odd at times but were always willing to serve. One morning the shower hose broke and by the end of the day it was replaced with a new one. Only thing about far location is that tours took long for pick ups and we had to get up at the crack of dawn for them.
“Beautiful”
The hotel was lovely. Some of the staff seemed a bit put out by us but generally everyone was very helpful. The room was nice and comfortable although the shower was not very well lit. Breakfast was fine but don't expect a full English although bacon and scrambled eggs was usually available. There is a supermarket across the road from Polo which sells everything so check it out for cheap snacks and drink. Polo is within walking distance of the main city centre and is surrounded by a huge park which is really nice to walk through at any time of day. We will definitely be going back to Rome and fully recommend Hotel Polo to you!
“Nice Hotel in Northern Rome”
This hotel is very nice. Rooms not too spacious, but clean and interesting. Good spread for breakfast. Hotel staff a little impersonal.
“nice place to stay”
overall it is worth 3-start prices it is charging. You will not find here luxorious accomodations, pool or a full-size bath. However, why would you: it is *** hotel. Friendly people, all speak english, clean room, clean bathroom, wireless internet included. I found it very easy to get to. 5-min walk from Euclid train station. e7 to get to Termini on taxi.
