“Right place, Right price, Location OK”
If you want the basics in a 3 star hotel - clean sheets, clean bathroom and continental breakfast - this is the place. It is a good decent hotel for "traveling as a temporary local". Just remember: the hotel is located outside of the central part of the city in a residential area. You have to take the bus or the metro to get into city central, but that's easy enough to do. The bus stop is just outside the door of the hotel and the metro is a easy 10 minute walk.
“Friendly service and good location”
Staff were friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived in the morning and we went straight to the hotel. We were very early for check in, and though our room was not yet ready, once we arrived it was prepared very quickly so we could could check in early. Staff were also helpful about how to get around and recommended a lovely little pizza restaurant a few blocks from the hotel for a tasty and inexpensive dinner.
“Pleasant stay”
Very nice hotel. Pleasant people. Those from US need to understand that European hotels are a bit different than what we expect. Yes beds are hard and the rooms are smaller. This hotel was clean and comfortable. As with all the hotels we stayed at during our travels in Italy, they provided a free European buffet breakfast. As for location, I rather liked the fact that we were away from the city center. Area was quiet yet had resturants and a grocery store nearby. The hotel only serves the buffet breakfast. A bus stop right next to the hotel allows you to ride the severals blocks to the Bolgna Metro stop where you can connect to anywhere in the city, athough I walked it several times. If you are coming from the airport, take the train to the Termini and then take the Metro to the Bologna stop. From there I believe it was the 310 bus which takes you to the hotel.
“Would stay there again”
Excellent service all round, polite and friendly staff and room was clean. No problems with hot water, breakfast was adequate. Great laundry service. Good location. Bus route 65 to centre of town just around the corner 15-20 minutes. Metro station Bologna 10-15 minute walk, quick and safe. Also close to hotel chemist, supermarket and great Tabacchi super coffee. ATM machine on corner.
“Great honeymoon”
I thought the staff was very nice. They gave good advice on the bus routes and how the system worked. They directed us to a local family owned restaurant that treated us like family and the food was incredible and very reasonably priced. The shower is small but the view of the city made up for that.
“Impressed and nice to have a bar / sitting room”
Cannot fault this hotel except that I would suggest that very strong door closures are fitted on the lifts. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and if we were to go to Rome again we would definitely return to the Hotel Constanza. Bus stop round the corner and no problems with noise etc. Very satisfied indeed.
“An excellent choice”
Very good hotel, comfortable, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, helpful staff.
“Would definately reccomend”
This hotel is perfect if you don't mind a very short journey into Rome each day. It is less than 10 minutes to the station, trains come within 5 minutes then it takes approximately 10 minutes to get as far as Colloseo. Whilst during August most of the shops are closed near by, due to the ease of getting into town this is not a problem. There is also a supermarket nearby, handy for stocking up on liquids and snacks each day for the searing heat we experienced. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was kept clean. Breakfast was typical continental fare with croissants, rolls, cheese, ham and yoghurts, which suited us well. If you absolutely couldn't face going into town for dinner, it was possibly to order pizza. In conclusion, this hotel offered us a wonderful 9 night stay for a fantastic price, and we would use it again.
“A Great Little Hotel!”
Hotel was very quiet and comfortable and the staff most helpful. Easy access to centre of Rome on Express bus around the corner or local bus from outside door. Also Metro was 10 minutes walk away with easy access everywhere. 3 nice restaurants within walking distance...Hostaria al Monumento(towards Metro), San Marino Pizzeria and La Chiacchura in other direction...all reasonably priced.
“Very good value for money.”
Although they didn't mention it on their website, they are only a short walk from bologna metro station which is very handy. It's outside the city centre and off most maps but with good transport links (and only about 4 stops from the colosseum) it didn't matter. There is also a supermarket about 2 mins walk which was handy. Staff were very friendly and helpful (even though one looked miserable he was still very helpful), room size was just enough, good balcony, bidet in the bathroom. Cleaners didn't clean every day (I know this because we made a stain in our bathroom floor on our first night which was still there when we checked out 3 nights later) but did change towels and sheets. All in all, hotel and surrounding area had excellent amenities and was good value for money and I would definately stay there again.
