“Practical accomodation in a good location”

I'm familiar with the Extended Stay franchise, so I knew what to expect (for those wanting daily maid service, little bottles of shampoo & lotion, etc -- you want a differnt hotel chain). Everything was clean and neat and functional. I wish I had more time during my stay to make use of the kitchenette; I like having a fridge & microwave while traveling, but it's great to have a stove & toaster as well! There were only a couple of negatives: 1) the high speed wireless internet ran a little slow at times, and 2) the bed was VERY hard -- maybe a new extra-ultra-firm mattress? Maybe very good for someone with back problems, but a little too hard for my taste. I'mnot sure if these two negative would be typical of every room. The location off the freeway was very convenient, and it did not take long to get to/from the Sacramento airport, downtown Sacramento, or Davis (although the driving wasn't around rush hour). I would definitely stay here again.

“Good place to stay”

This ESA was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. It'sa good place to stay at a good price. You could easily pay more and get the same quality hotel. If I'm back in the area I'll certainly be looking to stay there again.

Well-satisfied with accommodations, although we did not use the "kitchen." Fast food places very close, but upscale restaurants within short driving distance. Would use again when flying out of Sacramento Airport.

“Good location for West Sac”

Excellent hotel. Everything is functional - not the Ritz, but excellent for the price. My one and only complaint is that the bathroom fan and light need separate switches, not a single switch. The fan is extraordinarily loud - so much so that it's easier to shower, wash, use the facilities by the light of the kitchen rather than listening to that damned fan. If that noise doesn't bother you you'll love the place.

Decent hotel it was clean and I got what I paid for. It was a lot nicer than the hotels I have stayed in San Francisco that have a 3 or 4 star rating and more expensive. Loved the kitchenette. Good location for what I needed. The staff was very efficient, but lacked in personality. Everyone acted like they were not happy about being there. Needed a little updating in the bedding but other than that It was your typical decent room. I work at a Hotel which has a higher standard on how employees treat the guests. I would go back because it was priced right, and it had a kitchenette so I could make the kids breakfast, and that saved money for breakfast.

They provide shampoo at check-in and if they forget to offer it, you are screwed the next morning.

“Worst hotel/motel experience of my life”

I arrived at around 9:00 p.m. and no one was there to check me in. I eventually checked in and learned that there would not be any cleaning service except for once per week without an additional charge. I came across some material stating that I could take my own trash out to the various trash areas around the facility but only found a few small options. The room had a kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, plates, glasses, etc. I found old celery in the refrigerator and there was no way to clean the dishes. No dishwasher, no cleaning items, no detergent, etc. I guess the expectation is that if you stay there, you need to go to a store and buy complete cleaning tools, which seems odd. They offer laundry facilities but I learned that you needed to pay to use them. 1/2 of the washers and dryers did not work. After three days, I needed towels and went to the front desk to ask about my options. I stood there for ten minutes and no one was present. I went to the front desk on another occasion and could hear a woman talking to her friend on the phone around the corner. I eventually said "excuse me, excuse me!" just to have her look annoyed when I cut her conversation short. I ran into a cleaning woman in the hall that offered to help me. I asked about the strange structure of the hotel and she proceeded to tell me that "I didn't know the half of it". I heard more than I needed to regarding what she had seen there. I checked out early that day. Horrible
