“Great hotel near Mirabell Palace”
Lovely hotel located conveniently between Mirabell Palace, as well as being only a short walk to the Old Town and Fortress. I was really happy with the service, with all the front desk staff being completely friendly and helpful with any queries we had during our stay.
“Impressed”
Helpful and pleasant reception staff with good knowledge of English. Convenient location for railway and bus station. Only a few minutes walk from the Mirabell gardens, the river and bridges to the old town. Room available for left luggage. Service in the dining room was also very helpful and courteous.
“Lovely hotel, good location”
Hotel was lovely, always clean and front desk staff very helpful. Great location - 10 min walk to old town, lots of local good value restaurants nearby, close to pick up for Sound of Music tour (Panorama tours). Breakfast tip: Free juice and coffee/tea is provided at the hotel and there are two bakeries around the corner to pick up breakfast pastries.
“Brilliant location and friendly staff”
This hotel was reasonably priced and was perfect for our 4 night stay. Room was a very good size and kept very clean, location was perfect, only 5 minutes walk from the old town and right next door to Mirabell Palace. Staff were very friendly and always ready to help out. Would definitely recommend. Salzburg is fab!
“"If you want a central location choose this hotel"”
Myself and five friends stayed at the Austrotel Mirabellplatz. This hotel is just across the road from the bus stop, and the journey from the airport was about 20 minutes. We couldn't believe how centrally located this hotel was. Everything was near, the bus stops, the coach trip kiosk and pick up area. We loved this hotel, our rooms were clean and spacious. There was free tea/coffee/juice in the foyer although sometimes the machine was not working. There is a cafe just on the corner of the hotel, we used to have coffee and a croissant in the mornings, as we did not have breakfast at the hotel. Salzburg is quite an expensive place, but you can find reasonably priced restaurants and shops. We loved the Sound of Music tour, we were all singing on the coach, it was really lovely seeing where the film was made and the hill where Julie Andrews ran and sang (the opening scenes). Some nice excursions also, we went on the salt mine tour, that was fabulous, had a laugh going down the slide. All in all, a wonderful holiday thanks to Expedia, would definitely go again.
“Very impressed”
We found the reception very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Free coffee. soft drinks and papers in the lounge. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Would book to stay there again without a hesitation.

The hotel has a nice location with easy access to major points of interest, restaurants and shops.
“Excellent location, excellent hotel”
We stayed here for a long weekend in September and found the hotel very satisfactory. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast offered a good selection, free internet access in the foyer was useful and the complimentary drinks in the lounge very satisfying when returning to the hotel in the evening. But special mention must be made of the staff. Everyone we came into contact with - reception, breakfastroom, chambermaids, - was friendly, smiling and very helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. Just opposite the Mirabell Gardens and only about 5 minutes walk from the Old Town. Couldn't be bettered!
