Der Salzburger Hof is a three-minute walk from the main train station (Salzburg Hauptbahnhof). A leisurely walk along the Salzach River brings leads to Mirabell Palace & Gardens. Mozart's Birthplace is 1.6 km (1 mi) from the hotel. Hellbrunn Palace is about 6 km (3.7 mi) away.
A complimentary breakfast buffet is served daily. Open seven days a week, the hotel's restaurant features Austrian favorites, along with Italian and Indian specialties. Guests receive a voucher for a complimentary aperitif. Complimentary mineral water is available around the clock.

“Nice quiet corner”
Convenient for the Station, 2 good sized rooms,good breakfast. Would have no hesitation staying there again even though not in central Salzburg, which was 20 mins walk.
“Good Leisure Travellers Hotel”
Hotel is situated close to Central Railway Station and Bus Terminal. Staff are extremely helpful as we checked in early and were welcomed with complimentary coffee which after our flight was most welcome. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The Buffet Breakfast was in good supply with an excellent choice. The hotel does offer evening meals and fastantic pizzas. Overall, an excellent hotel at a reasonable price with good English speaking staff.
“Very friendly staff”
We stayed in the newer part of the hotel across the street from main hotel. Room was very large clean and modern. Hotel is less than a 2 min walk from train station and city buses. Took 10 min or less on city bus to get to city centre. Staff very helpful in planning tours and helping with transportation questions.
“We would definately go back!”
The service was great and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. It had a good restaurant attached to the hotel. It was also within walking distance of the train station and the bus line which made it very convenient. We enjoyed it there very much.
“Friendliest Staff and Wonderful Breakfast”
We had a great experience while staying at Der Salzburg Hof. The staff was very friendly, they had convenient parking, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious.

..this hotel was everything we were hoping for and more. The desk clerks, one woman in particular, were the most friendly and helpful we've ever encountered. She made a wonderful first impression and our spacious room with separate dressing area was a big plus. The breakfast was one of the most delicious and plentiful on our entire trip. I would recommend this hotel very highly.
“A friendly,well-located hotel”
My wife and I stayed for three nights in this hotel.We were pleasently surprised to find that we were allocated a spacious junior suite. Overall the hotel was clean,the service was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was good (but not great!). We thought the hotel was well located ,close to the main railway station and main bus routes.Also close to shops and restaurants.It is a fairly long walk to the old town and principal sights (about 20 minutes walking briskly)but there are plently of buses if required.
“Very Comfortable”
Hotel was very comfortable and the service was good. Full breakfast included. Located right by bus and train stations but not in the center of town. Room not air conditioned but not unbearable.
“Warm welcoming hotel.”
We had a delightful room in the annexe. It was well furnished and decorated with excellent double glazing.Breakfast was a real feast with lots of choice.The staff were all friendly welcoming and helpful. The hotel was conveniently near the train station and bus terminus about 15 minutes walk from the older more elegant parts of Salzburg.
“Second stay--just as good as the first”
Very friendly welcome.Lovely room. Great breakfast and great service. We'll be staying again, and particularly as it's so close to the station, and a very pleasant 15 min walk into the centre.
