“paradise”
Favorite hotel in San Diego. Great beach access. No need to drive anywhere
“Loved It!”
Fabulous location, basically all inclusive. Directly on the beach along with great pool and hottub. Good restaurant and great happy hour. Pool and hottub clean and well located. Rooms are not fancy but well appointed, updated stone and tile bathroom, all have exterior patio or deck. Walking distance to small store and restaurants.
“La Jolla Shores Hotel: Great for a family get-away”
Friendly and very helpful staff. Staff gave us tips for shopping and sights to see. Hotel was clean and inviting, with nice rooms and lots of open areas - good for a family vacation. Great location! Rooms have a fridge, but no microwave oven, that would have been a nice addition.

LaJolla Shores' location was great; not too busy or crowded area. On the beach location was awesome as the ocean lulled us to sleep each night. Room was very clean and comfortable. Room was refreshed daily. Food was very good and we enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. Happy hours were fun. A very nice place to stay. Expedia you pulled through again for us, thanks!

Nice architecture with a beautiful Spanish style courtyard. Safe suburban area, away from the city bustle, and within walking distance of beautiful neighborhoods. Spacious rooms have individual balconies and the dining room faces the ocean. Courtesy computer/printer access in the lobby was very helpful. Easy highway access to all La Jolla and San Diego sights. Always found safe street parking (early November) very close to the hotel. A couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance.

“La Jolla Shores hotel was perfect!”
We had an amazing vacation here! Ben at the front desk was most helpful! The location was perfect, it was centrally located to all of our destinations and driving to interstate 5 was easy! We went to Coronado, the zoo, legoland, birch aquarium, seaworld and mission beach. We ate at the restaurant twice and it was very good! Looking out on the balcony at the beach every morning was awesome! The hotel was very clean and beautifully kept up. It is a older hotel but so are most of the hotels in La Jolla! The price and location make it so worth it! I hope I can visit here again it was perfect for us!
“La Jolla Location”
I would definitely give this hotel a 5 star rating, despite not having 5 star ammenities. If you are looking for an awesome location in La Jolla, this is it. The staff was extraordinary helpful. The rooms are just what you'd expect, two or one bed, a sitting area and bathroom. Nothing fancy, but clean! And to me, that is way more important.
“A great family hotel right on the beach”
My daughters, granddaughter, and I had a great time at this hotel. We loved that it was conveniently located for ocean adventures as well as some good restaurants just walking distance from our rooms. We felt like our room was upgraded since we requested patio rooms, but got rooms near the pool on the 3rd floor. with a great view of the beach, ocean, and the park. My bed linens had the smell of laundry chemicals, but the maid changed all linens and resolved that issue. We were comfortable and enjoyed the hotel restaurant and umbrellas, and chairs provided for the beach. The jacuzzi needs to be enlarged because many people like to congregate and visit there. This was our second stay at this hotel, and we would enjoy staying there again next trip to San Diego area.
