“Great place to stay with a family”
We have stayed at other Resident Inns and have always had a positive experience and this one was no exception. Rooms were very nice, everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and tasty. More waffle makers would have been nice as the line was long and slow. The only negative thing to say is if they are going to charge $10 for a parking spot it should be a full sized parking spot. Parking was tight for a compact car, worse with a Sequoia.
“Great hotel and location, but...”
The hotel and grounds are lovely and the location can't be beat in the heart of San Diego's mission valley. Our two bedroom suite was perfect for ourselves and 4 kids. We enjoyed the family like atmosphere of the room with full kitchen and table and living room with 2 additional bedrooms and baths. My only complaint would lie with a couple of glitches in the stay. Another family in our group had to wait 1 1/2 hours past an already late check in time of 4pm for their room. That is a long time. Also, housekeeping had up until 5:30 PM to clean rooms, so you could be gone all day and come back to an unclean room. We found this most incovenient. To the management's credit, they did supply our tired and waiting guests with a free in room movie and popcorn. To the complaint of late housekeeping, they offered to clean our rooms earlier at our time request. So, great property and we would stay again. Free full breakfast was nice, evening manager's light buffet (M-TH) was fun, and we loved our rooms. Because management was able to correct our issues quickly and kindly, I would give them high marks. Had they not, I would have reviewed differently. Good job on fixing the issues! If the management stays on top of issues, I think this is a great hotel and worth the price paid. It was clean, comfortable, and the kids in our group enjoyed the big pool, game room and extra in room space.

“Overall, a great experience”
We had a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn in Mission Valley. Great value! Excellent location! Free breakfast was wonderful and were shocked to discover the hotel also provides free dinner (including free beer and wine!!) Mon-Thurs. It was actually quite good! The hotel was under construction when we were there, so there were a few noise issues, but we'll definitely back when they're done with their remodel! The staff was exceptional. So helpful, so great with our kids and so welcoming. Like I said, we'll definitely be back.

I have never stayed at a Res. Inn,i give it a 5 out of 5! Staff was extremely nice,the cleanliness was good,it was nice to have a mini store there and a extremely great breakfast in the morning. I would definately stay here again on my next business trip.Having a nice full kitchen in the room was great and useful.Having a laundry room was also a plus for me.
“We will always stay here when visiting San Diego”
My wife and I were immediately pleased with the size and layout of our room. The living area was separate from the bed/bath area and there was plenty of room. The property was well maintained both inside and out. We did not take our dog but did observe several guests with pets and the hotel appears to be very pet friendly. Staff was very accommodating; the buffet breakfast was excellent and a bit different every day. The location was perfect for us to go everywhere we needed. Very pleased!

I was very impressed with the suite we booked. We are a family of 6 so staying in a hotel is usually really cramped. There was pleanty of space and two bathrooms was like heaven!!

“Very satisfied with accomodations and staff”
This hotel is located where it is easy to get to most any place in San Diego quickly. Easy in and out and access to the major roads. We were very pleased with the suite, although the bedroom area was small we were fine for the week we spent in it. It was nice to have the separate living area to sit in and visit or watch tv instead of from the bed in a regular hotel room. The room was clean and the staff was very accomodating and responsive to the one problem we had with the phone (cord wouldn't stay plugged in to handset) and they fixed it immediately. Unless we really upgrade and stay on the water, we would stay here again on our next visit to San Diego.
