“I've Stayed 4 Times”

You get what you pay for. Do not stay if you plan on vacationing on-site. Perfect if you will spend your days at the beach and need an inexpensive hotel to sleep and bathe. Microwave and Fridge- keeps food costs down and are very helpful. Continental Breakfast- really a snack. Free, so don't be picky.

“I ALWAYS STAY HERE! ALWAYS!”

These people are the kindest, most accommodating people I have ever met. EVERY TIME I go to the San Diego area, I stay with them. I have been doing this for the 3.5 years that my son has been a Marine. They always give me the best rates, best service and kindest conversation. They care more about the people that are staying in the hotel, then earning a dollar. Whenever I have needed anything, from an extra bed, to extra towels, to another key they are prompt, courteous and professional. The rooms have a great view of the ocean, the pool is clean and fun to splash around in, and the drive to the beach is about 2 minutes away. It is close to all the harbor activities, with the greatest little places to eat and shop. It is also the EASIEST Hotel to find, right off of I-5! I would recommend this hotel to everyone staying in the Oceanside area.

“Great!!”

I picked this hotel because of the user ratings...man, they were right on. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. If there was a problem in the room, they immediately fixed it. The pool heater was not working, but we weren't there enough to use it anyway. Room was large and very very comfortable beds. Very Clean. I would recommend this hotel to all "Marine Families". especially if you have a son graduating from MCRD San Diego. My son really loved seeing the ocean. Makes for great pix too!!

“I would stay there again.”

The hotel did show it's age but the desk and cleaning personnel were excellent. Rooms were very clean and beds were super comfortable. Bathrooms could use some updating. Beautiful view of the ocean. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

“convenient”

I stayed here alone for 5 days this summer while visiting my son , a Marine and his family, including my newborn grandson. I found it very nicely located to major expressways with easy on and off from both the 5 as well as the 76. I especially liked that it was close to the main gate of Camp Pendleton as well as downton Oceanside. I really liked how close it was to the pier and beaches. I did have a car that helped me get around, as I wold not recommend walking to attractions as it can be a hike in some instances. I found my room was clean, furnished adequately for the price I paid and was cleaned daily. The maids figured out I was smoking out on my patio( had a ground floor room) and brought me an ashtray the second day of my stay. I never felt threatened or in danger at any time during my stay.

“Travel with children”

Very efficient and speedy. I called ahead to notify them that I will be arriving late and the response was excellent. Since we have two small children we travel with a DVD player. The TV in the room was not DVD capable.

“Good place to stay”

The hotel staff were very nice. The rooms were clean. It might not be new and shiny, but it is a nice place to stay. Any request we had was met and exceeded in some cases.

“Nice Weekend Retreat”

We stayed here as a weekend retreat . I'm from San Diego and my wife is from Oceanside. Every once in awhile we'll spend a day of hiking, relaxing, sun, fun, surf, dining, and watching a sunset in Oceanside. We choose to stay here because of the price and location. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it's a clean room and a place to shower and sleep. If you are planning to do outdoor activites (because you're a mile from the beach) then this is a good option to stay. If you are looking to stay at the hotel all day then you may want to consider another hotel or resort. You get what you pay for. This place is a decent price for a room; a mile from the beach, harbor, or base; and a free breakfast in the morning.
