“Nice view from hotel”
Recently traveled to San Diego for a vacation and stayed at the Sheraton Marina Hotel. It was a delightful stay. The staff were all very friendly. We asked the concierge for tour and dining recommendations and they were helpful and found excellent choices. Also, there is a Starbucks in the lobby that was very handy and the dining room offered a really nice breakfast buffet. The location of this hotel is about a $10 cab fair from downtown but is also walkable and Little Italy is only one mile away. There are several very good restaurants in the harbor drive area too so the location has alot to offer. Some earlier comments on this site, mentioned airport noise at this hotel, but we were facing the harbor and didn't notice much noise from the airport. And we had a wonderful view. I would stay here again.
“My San Diego stay”
It was a great place to stay, I would recommend to othere. I would stay there again...
“Great hotel, but if you "go green" you should know”
We were given the option of getting $5.00 per day credit at the hotel (or Sheraton points) if we "went green". We assumed that it meant we would keep our linens, towels - but did NOT realize that we would not have any cleaning done, or garbage emptied, or supplies refilled. We were able to opt out of this at any time, which we did, with no difficulty.
“Good hotel.”
The room was very nice. It was clean and it had a great view.
“Highly recommended”

“Extremely clean, and quiet”
Beautiful views, terrific bed with top of the line linens (down comforters). Individual room temp. controls made it comfy for us. Nice desk to work at while looking over the water. I normally am not crazy about hotel food, but every meal we had here was great. You can eat in the 'bar' (Quinn is the name) and get most of the same entrees as the 'fancier' dining room for 75% of the cost. So, if you don't need the ambiance eat here. I did step outside to use the gym (which is LOADED with equipment and extremely clean), but when I went to come back in, neither of the two availalbe doors would recognize my room key. Had to text my husband and have him come down to let me back in the main building. Desk didn't know why the key would not work, and thought perhaps it was 'user error' on my part. (Except it did just work fine for our room, and others staying there reported the same problem with the outside doors when we chatted with some other guests in the restaurant). Overall, a great experience. We stayed 3 nights, and would definately go back or recommend this hotel.
“Expensive buffet but, good.”
Overall, very nice hotel. Need more options for dining.
“Awesome Hotel, Horrible Parking”
Everything about this hotel is good. Except for the fact that parking is a real pain in the a**!! you pay $22 for parking and you have to park in a dirt lot basically.
“Ignore all the bad reviews”
After booking for five nights, I read the reviews and became very worried that I had made a mistake. But when we arrived, all my worries were eliminated and turned into one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had. The hotel rooms are beautiful, incredibly comfy King bed, pillows you will want to steal, and a choice of views at the main hotel of the marina one one side, or the city skyline (we picked the marina view because it was serene and restful). Also had a small balcony to sunbathe. It was surprising that we could not hear the airport at all even though it was right beside us. The $5 coupon available each day if you don't want the room cleaned is a great idea that other hotels should use -- and we enjoyed using the $ at Starbucks in the main lobby. The pools and hot tub were beautifully surrounded with palm trees, and the location of the hotel is perfect for jogging or strolling along the beach. Most people don't know that this Sheraton is the only hotel currently in the U.S. that produces all of its own power requirements and even sells the excess to the city of SD. Parking is high and the main restaurant is expensive. But if you get a good price, factor the parking fee in and you'll still be ahead. Some reviews I read here were disgusting -- this hotel and the service IS excellent and only people with a bone to pick with the world would find something wrong here. Wireless is available free in the lobby. Easily a 4-star hotel.
“Great Views!”
The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. We were very pleased with the view from the 9th floor overlooking the marina. Not a lot to do on the island where the hotel is, but it is close to everything in San Diego.
