Property Amenities
The Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego, is within three miles of the airport and the San Diego Zoo. This smoke-free hotel houses an American fare restaurant with a sports lounge and a coffee shop. High-speed Internet access (surcharge) is available in the 24-hour business center. This hotel offers 19 conference rooms, the largest of which accommodates 1,200 guests. Hotel also provides wedding services.
Recreation and relaxation facilities include an outdoor pool and sundeck, indoor spa tub, and a 24-hour fitness center with cardio machines, weights, and headphones for music. Spa services, provided through Pure Body Spa, can be enjoyed in guestrooms or in two on-site treatment rooms.
The Westin Gaslamp Quarter has recently completed $13 million in renovations.
Rooms
The 16-story Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego offers 450 nonsmoking guestrooms housed on floors 4-16 with views of Horton Plaza and the city. Guestrooms were renovated in April 2011.
All guestrooms offer wired and wireless high-speed Internet access (surcharge), 37-inch LCD TV with cable service and HBO, in-room safe, phone with voice mail and free local calls, and complimentary bottled water. Guestrooms are all nonsmoking.
All guestrooms feature the Westin Heavenly Bed and Bath. The bed includes a custom-designed, foot-thick pillowtop mattress with all-white bedding; triple sheeting; Egyptian-cotton sheets; down blanket, comforter and duvet; and five pillows.
Bathrooms include bathtub or shower with a dual showerhead with multiple spray options; curved shower rod for extra room; white-on-white shower curtain; velour, waffle-weave bathrobes; oversized Brazilian combed-cotton bath towels; and white-tea scented toiletries.
The Westin Heavenly Dog Bed is available for four-legged guests.
Smoking is not permitted inside hotel rooms.

“Great stay”
Great experience! Check-in was easy and room was comfy and clean. The only downside is that valet was $32/day (with in&out privileges) and you don't have a self-park option at the hotel. The other structures or lots around the area were also pretty pricey so you're pretty much left with their valet option. On the upside, their valet staff is super friendly and offered bottles of ice cold water while we waited for the car. Nice touch :)
“The Perfect Location”
Despite the renovations occurring in the lobby, our stay was really enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful all day and all night. The 3rd floor patio was really relaxing as well and a great place to get some sun. The best thing about this hotel though is its location...in the heart of all the action being the Gaslamp Quarter and minutes to anywhere else. It was perfect!
“Westin a big hit.”
Hotel was having some construction, but room was great, staff exceptionally helpful. Location was unmatched, with excellent restaurants and entertainment nearby. Public transportation inexpensive and close by.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the Convention Center which was great for us because we were in town for a professional conference. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great gym and hot tub. Westin now also offers fitness clothing rental through New balance which we found extremely convenient since this enabled us to pack light without our workout gear! Beds were very very comfortable.
“San Diego great place to stay”
did not know there was construction going on both inside the hotel as well as on the street below. very loud at 6:45am on Friday. bathroom shower/tub enclosure was in bad shape. rust stains running down wall from metal hold bar. tile grout was plastered all over the shower where other shelving was removed from wall..this would make the room unsuitable for some guests.should have taken a picture or mentioned this to front desk.
“Great Spot”
Perfect location, near everything. You have to valet your car, which is slightly annoying usually, but they're good at having your car ready when you call for it.

We really enjoyed the comfort of the room! The hotel was clean. Downtown was in walking distance to the hotel and easy access,
“Wonderful bed after long air journey from London”
A great hotel conveniently situated near restaurants shops etc. One criticism- Only served buffet breakfast once during 4 days stay (paid in advance) and a la carte very expensive. Apparently not many taking breakfast-could be cost??
“Westin Gaslamp quarter is great!”
Great location. Close to everything you need, including bustops to the Zoo, and Belmont Park. Staff was very helpful and polite. Rooms newly renovated and clean.
“Exceeded expectations”
Based on price I expected much less. However the hotel had elegance, style, thoughtful staff, and the location was perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants. Would definately book here again.
