“SDUS Graduation”
Very good time! Had some flowers that needed refridgeration overnight and they went through great lengths to accomodate me. My wife loved the gardens in full bloom. Second time staying here and will come back again.
“Gorgeous Roses were in Full Bloom”
The roses were so beautiful, everywhere you looked were roses. We loved the Trellis Restaurant.
“Always stay here when in San Diago”
central great location but an oasis with beautiful roses and landscaping
“Surprised our expectations...”
After reading previous reviews, from "good value" to "worst hotel ever", we didn't know what to expect. We might've been lucky because we got an excellent renovated room, it was spacious, comfortable, clean and QUIET (which was very important to us). We expected a lot of noise because it was New Year's Eve, but other guests were respectful and no problem at all (even though hotel was completely full). We stayed on second floor of one of the garden-type apartments (not in a tower), which I strongly recommend. Overall, a very pleasant stay. (Room had it's own heat and cold so we could regulate it and were comfortable with that.)
“Great amenities, memorable experience!”
The hotel staff was most gracious and helpful with all our needs, and very friendly. The hotel compound itself is huge! 5 or 6 different eating establishments made for interesting and varied dining experiences. All are exceptional. And the hotel grounds are big enough for plenty of walking around in total security, with lush vegetation, fountains, flowers, and other interesting sights to enjoy while "walking off" all those calories. Plenty of benches, tables and chairs to just sit and enjoy the relaxed Southern California atmosphere. The room was comfortable, clean and cozy, perfect for unwinding in after hectic days of sightseeing. Located right on the Interstate 8 freeway in centra San Diego, it was conveniently located to...everywhere! We will definitely stay at this hotel in the future. A very enjoyable experience. Expedia.com made it easy and affordable to enjoy this fine establishment.
“great location”
Very satisfied with service and friendly staff. Great location next to movies, shopping and food. I'll be back!
“Loved it! Will stay there again.”
The hotel was prettier than the internet pictures. Service was excellent. I loved getting up in the morning and sitting out on the balcony overlooking the pool. There were heated pools for my kids to enjoy. The food in the cafe was delicious. The only negatives for this hotel was no laundry room available and laundry service took all day. Also, the bed was pretty hard. But, I could have spent a week there. The plants decorating the hotel create beautiful garden areas to sit in and enjoy. Very serene.
“Superb from start to finish”
From the moment I checked in, until the moment I checked out, I have to say the service and accomodations were impeccable. I spent about 2 weeks scouring the internet before I settled on this hotel. It was my 9yr old son's first trip to California, and it was important to me that we stay somewhere that was comfortable and clean, but also with lush surroundings for the time we had to spend at the hotel itself. This one far exceeded my needs and expectations. I read some other reviews where people complained about the decor being "outdated". I found nothing of the sort. The rooms were clean, the beds were fabulous, and the staff was exceedingly friendly and welcoming. And all for a fraction of the price similar hotels in the San Diego area were charging. I will definetely be staying there anytime I make it to San Diego!!
“Misson Valley's Best Convention Hotel”
Nice and Quiet locatation for large banquests, conventions and also Judo Tournaments. I have experienced them all at the Town and Country Hotel. Rooms are far enough away from the action to get rest. Restaurants are convenniently on the property. Shopping and Restaurant nearby.
“Nice Hotel”
Very nice hotel. Staff is very nice. Food is great. The trolly system is right behind the hotel easy access to Downtown, old town, and Qualcomm Stadium. The only complaint I have is the bed was really hard as were the pillows. If you like a firm matress you'll love it.
