The Argonaut offers a prime location across from the picture-perfect San Francisco waterfront and adjacent to Fisherman's Wharf and cable cars.
The hotel provides complimentary transportation to the Financial District weekday mornings, based on availability. Parking is available nearby (surcharge).
Children can choose a complimentary toy every day from the "treasure chest" at the front desk. The hotel welcomes pets at no additional charge; dogs receive their own special treat at check-in. With the Guppy Love program, guests can request a goldfish in their room to keep them company during their stay.

Full bar serving California wines, wide selection of beers, Irish coffee, and nautically inspired cocktails such as Pirate's Punch. Exposed-brick walls, original wooden beams, boats suspended from ceiling. Patio seating (weather permitting) with views of picturesque Del Monte Square. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks daily. Children's menu.
Room service is available from early morning until midnight.
Recreation
The hotel's 24-hour fitness center, an airy space with exposed-brick walls, features cardio machines with individual TVs, along with free weights, resistance equipment, and stability balls. Guests can borrow a yoga basket with mat, strap, and block for use in their rooms.
The scenic waterfront, with its myriad attractions, is right outside the hotel and perfect for a brisk walk or run. Bicycle trips across the Golden Gate Bridge are also great fun; a rental shop is in the same building as the Argonaut. Fishing charters are available along Fisherman's Wharf. Hardy souls can brave the chilly waters of Aquatic Park, one block away.

“We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else!”
My family loved this hotel! It was beautiful, clean, friendly and inviting. It was impecably decorated for style and comfort. The location could not have been more perfect, right where we wanted to be with a trolley turn-around right outside the door. I will plan to stay at Kimpton hotels for future vacations.
“Excellant Hotel”
We loved this hotel which was more expensive than we would normally choose but it was worth the extra for a little bit of luxury. The only downside for us was the lack of a view but that probably meant the room was a lot quieter, which is a good thing. The room was very clean and well appointed and the service was good in general. The only problem we had was with a receptionist who offered to check our flight booking for us and get back to us but never did. We ended up doing it ourselves, although it was difficult to find a telephone number as there were no directories available. Overall though, a great place to stay, close to all the action in a fabulous city.

Highly recommended, in a great location and the interior is fantastic. Main trolley car stops just next door and the views are amazing of the bay and Golden gate bridge.
“Do NOT hesitate”
This was by far the best Hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything was top notch and the staff was helpful and friendly. They offer free wine in the lobby between 5-6pm and it is a great way to find out what to do the next day. You will NOT need to rent a car as everything is within walking distance. I plan on coming back ASAP.

“Great Location & Service”
Although we were a little nervous on the first day of the stay because we had to wait for the room being ready for half a hour after 3pm check-in time, the hotel stuff including front desk, bell boys and valet parking guys were all excellent. We felt that all of them tried to do the best at their jobs and treated us very nice. The only thing I was disappointed was that I couldn't give one of the bell boy, Mr."J"(anonymous) a descent tip. Sorry! I was too buys to take care of our folks and the last day we were leaving, you weren't there!
“Number One choice of Hotels in San Francisco”
This was a great hotel to stay at. It is on the wharf, but it is quiet. It is a short walking distance to Pier 39, and the cable cars are a half a block away. A nice touch is the complimentary Wine tasting hour every day from 5 pm until 6pm in the hotel lobby lounge. It is a great way to taste California wines and meet people. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Francisco.

great staff, excellant location- close to all attractions. wine reception every nite. It was so good, extended out stay. will be going back soon.
