“clean tidy room”
when we booked the room we didnt know what to expect. but when we arrived we greeted very kindly and gave us helpful suggestions on where to eat and how to use public transportation. i would definately stay there again.
“good hotel”
about 1.25 miles walk to fisherman's wharf. walk past ghiradelli square on the way. they give you a nice map of the city when you check in.
“A top place for us”
We think this place is tops for us due to it`s location,price,staff,and free parking,we got car upgrade to a Grand Marquis at SFO so the parking was abit tight.If the rooms a fridge and microwave,and breakfast had a few more items it would even better.The front rooms are a little noise with the traffic up to about 11pm but a few beers solves that problem,our next time in San Fran this is where we will be staying.

Good value for a great location between Chestnut and Union. Free parking was nice to have in the city. We were there for 3 days and ould definitely stay again.
“good value hotel”
My wife and I found the hotel to be excellent value for money. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The desk staff were very polite and helpful. The Hotel is within reasonable walking distance of the wharf and has the benefit of free underground parking. There was a free internet terminal in the Lobby. the complimentary breakfast was not up to much ( as much pastries and orange juice as you want, but nothing else - not even coffee) but no matter this gives you an excuse to pig-out in one of the many local diners!
“If I were going back I would definately stay here again.”
Although small, we had a very nice stay here. It is close to public transportation (once you learn the routes)and also has garage parking which was great. Enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this hotel.
“We enjoyed our stay”
Not knowing what to expect having never stayed there we were plesantly suprised. Everything we could have wanted was taken care of and we had a great stay. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a reasonable, convient and comfortable place to stay in the City by the Bay.
“Fantastic location, great value!”
We stayed at the Buena Vista Motor Inn for 5 nights and had a standard double room. When I researched the hotels to pick, one of the requirements was for parking as we thought we would need a rental car - however this proved unnecessary as the city has great public transport and the taxis are not expensive either. However, if walking, be prepared for some steep hills! The hotel is extremely well located for the tourist, Fishermans wharf is only a short (flat) walk away, as is the beach/marina area and parks. The hotel staff were courteous and efficient. Traffic noise could be a problem at night if like me you are a light sleeper - I had the foresight to ask for an inner facing room when i booked. The Alcatraz tour is a must and we also booked a 48hr hop on/hop off bus tour (about 35dollars) to get a lay of the land.
“Enjoyed our stay, the staff was very good”
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpfull and courteous. Enjoyed our stay. Close to transportation (buses) and only a mile from Fishermen's Wharf.
“Can't wait to return”
We really enjoyed our stay in San Francisco. We were close to lots of fun neighborhoods. We loved exploring Union Street, North Beach, and the Fillmore area. We found it easy to take the bus to downtown and the Haight district. We found great shops and restaurants.
