“Very pleased.”
Pleasant experience in all regards: The surrounding, the quality, the size (not a huge hotel, but not small), the service (very cheerful and helpful). Don't forget to look in on the pool; a great place to hang out.
“The surprise GEM!”
We loved our stay at the Handlery. The room we were given was sooo large it actually felt like a two room suite compared to most in the city. The kids had their own area and we had ours, each with our own tv's. The hotel was very quiet and a perfect location for food, shopping and the tree lighting. The pool was actually heated too at the end of November. The hotel is older though but well kept. It actually has character and some unique things to explore for kids. The only drawbacks...small bathroom and the view. We hardly spent time in the room though so I really didn't mind. Our room number I will keep secret though because I will request this room on every return visit:) We were very happy and we will be back.
“Great hotel great location”
The room size and location were great - I had heard the hotel rooms in San Francisco were small but ours was big enough for both of us and our two teenaged sons. The room we had faced the pool area, which I would recommend if possible because the city is very noisy. The service was very good and all the staff extremely friendly. When we asked about a corkscrew they immediately sent someone up to open our wine and also provided us with two wineglasses. You can't get much closer to Union Square and the shopping in the neighbourhood.
“excellent service, efficiency, courtesy”
Small room but completely adequate. Excellent staff. Daily Grill-affiliated for reliable room-service or restaurant meals; steps from Union Square and my conference a few blocks away.
“would definately book again at the Handlery when in San Francisco!!!”
the Handlery is very CLEAN and EXCELLENT location!! everything within "walking distance" , nightclubs, union square, restaurants/coffee, shopping, china town, the trolley and F train that both take you to Fisherman's Wharf and boat tours for Alcatraz and Golden Gate bridge also a bus stop that takes you to Candlestick Park aswell, all this so easly accessable from the Handlery!!!!
“Perfect for me.”
The hotel ranks with W and Marriott but at about $100 cheaper per night. I love the fact that the premier rooms have balconies. The location is great as well. This is the 2nd year that I have stayed at the Handlery while attending a Conference at the Moscone Center.
“Nice Place to stay in downtown San Francisco”
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our accommodations were very nice. We were very pleased with our overall stay.
“Great Value”
I thought your hotel was a nice place to stay when in San Francisco. You provided an affordable option to an otherwise expensive market. I did appreciate the overall experience and will recommend you to colleages as they travel. Thanks.
“Extremely Satisfied”
We spend four nights at the Handley Union Square and were extremely satisfied. The room was small but very neat and clean. We make the reservation on line at a very good rate. We could have had a larger room but elected not too. As we spent very little time in the room. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. We worked with two of the concierge and both were very very helpful in setting up several trips for us. They did a super job and did not mind how many questions I had for them. When we return to Sanfransco, we will be sure to return to the Handley. Rudy & Jean
“Satisfied and would return.”
The staff was very polite and attentive. The rooms were fairly small but nice and clean. Great location being in the middle of Union Sqaure. The hallways can be somewhat eerie with a slight haunting due to its old history. Enjoyed out stay here, would come back again.
