Centrally located in downtown, Hotel Triton is across from the Chinatown Gate, two blocks from the financial district and from Union Square, and six blocks from Moscone Center and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
A gallery on the mezzanine features rotating exhibits by local artists. The hotel has a concierge, a fitness center, and a 24-hour business center; in-room Spa treatments are also available.
Rooms
This San Francisco hotel has 140 guestrooms. All rooms feature custom decor and furnishings. “triton=excellent”
Polite staff, clean rooms and everything was exactly as stated in the brochure.
“A gem in SF”
Great location. Cosy rooms but more than adequate- we only needed to sleep in them! Loads of little extras included; tea/coffee in morning, fresh cookies in afternoon, wine in the evening. Topped off with fast free Wi Fi. I look forward to returning soon:)
“Friendly hotel in the heart of San Francisco”
Loved this hotel. My stay started with a wonderful greeting from the staff at the front desk who also helped me navigate San Francisco. The room is fabulous. This is a great, quirky, fabulous place to stay!! :) ... all right in the heart of San Francisco!! :)

This was one of my favorite small hotels in San Francisco. Great location, helpful staff, and unique character.
“Love the decor!”
This is a great hotel in downtown San Francisco. The hotel's decor is really fun, especially in the lobby. The morning coffee (served in the lobby) is very good. We stayed in a "zen den" which was small, but very comfortable.

Great value, at gates of Chinatown and walking distance to Union Square. Will definitely stay again.
“San Francisco - Kimpton's Triton Hotel!”
My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Triton on the July 4th weekend. Great location for shopping and China Town. A quick run to the Embarcadero was invigorating was a total of 3.1 miles - just perfect. Good resturants in the surrounding blocks. The staff was fantastic and very helpful! The concierge was not as well informed as most but at the same time he gave it a try and was very friendly. I just love the Kimpton chain and try to stay at their hotels as often as possible!

“quirky and fun”
i have stayed in several hotels within 1-2 blocks of union square and really recommend the triton. as with many kimpton hotels, it's hip and quirky with cute room decor. everyone was helpful and friendly. there's a nice wine hour in the evening complete with a tarot card reader.
