“A Happy Valentines Day 2012”
My husband and I went to celebrate Valentines Day we stayed in Suit 151 it was awesome. The view was nice. The shower was wonderful it had two heads and a rain shower in the middle big enough for two the sunken in tub was a great relaxing touch also big enough for two. The bed was comfortable and room had a great flow to it could accommodate four adults or a family traveling with kids. The grounds are gorgeous I loved the fire pit where we sat and looked at the beautiful sky filled with stars. The breakfast buffet was very good and reasonably priced. The pool was heated to a comfortable yet refreshing temperature. The hotel is also pet friendly. The only thing that would make it better is to be smoke free grounds not just rooms. We will come stay again I am sure. The staff was also very nice and helpful.
“Wonderful escape... with or without the kids!”
The Cliffs is both adult and kid friendly, and combines the two well! We happened to visit during Spring Break, and even with the additional children around, the hotel lobby offers evening wine and cheese, excellent "Happy Hour" at the restaurant (which is great in itself.)Just a nice variety of things to do . Fabulous "Central"coast location; close to everything.
“Had a great time”
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. We were there during the week and were able to enjoy some quiet and pool time. I think weekends can get a little crowded and noisy. It seems to be a favorite spot for families. The Marisol restaurant next door has a great happy hour.
“We enjoyed our stay.”
What a view we had! It was very relaxing and comfortable.
“beautiful, but too noisy”
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, although I strongly recommend getting a room above the 1st floor. We could barely see the water and were on the same level as the nightclub, visually. Not much privacy. Sat on the deck in my robe having coffee in the morning and felt rude not to acknowledge everyone that walked by! Not exactly private. We stayed on a Thursday for my birthday, and if you're not into nightlife, this may not be the place for you. Club is loud and stays open late. The next morning, bright and early, they started putting up a tent for an event. Bang! Bang! Bang! I had to get dressed and leave for breakfast away to get some peace and quiet. Other than that, perfect location, wonderful staff, and clean.
“Very enjoyable stay”
Plenty of Hotel activites! Fireside outside movies, Outdoor music concert and cookout, Beach access & more
“Great customer service in a great location”
Have stayed here 4 times now. Keep coming back for the great service, amenities and reasonable price.
“Great location, beautiful ocean views at affordable prices!”
The Cliffs at Shell Beach is a lovely resort right on the Pacific Ocean. We were there during the holiday season and although the hotel seemed very busy and full, we were given a room upgrade to one with a partial view. The room was large, clean, with a muted color scheme that was pleasing to the eye. The bed was very comfortable. Room service was way above average: the in-room server phoned to let us know he would be at our door shortly - a nice security touch. Food was delicious! All employees we met were very customer oriented, pleasant, professional - greeted us with smiles everyone.
“We had a great time”
There is always something going on. Besides the beautiful setting, the hotel staff was amazing and the food was even better. We will be back
“very nice, I'll be back”
