“Friendly, clean and superb location!”

Friendly, clean and superb location! Right by the sea with fire places in the evening. We aslo enjoyed the recommened sea nature trail just a few miles away.

“Wonderful escape!”

We loved the location: right on the sea front looking out to the Pacific sunsets and listening to the endless sound of the surf. The beach was sand with rocks, making a good walking area. Our motel style room had walls thick enough to absorb most noise & the amenities inside and room attention were very good. Loved: log fire pits every evening on the grass near the beach; excellent restaurant well appointed, good & reasonable choice of breakfast, lunch, dinner; the peaceful location - no traffic noise, very peaceful. We'd pre-booked Hearst Castle evening tour nearby & it was so good we'd return. Local person recommended the region for October/Nov., apparently March/April are very windy & summers average in the 60s. We were near the end of 3 weeks driving around California so we'd recommend it as great for a week-end or week long relaxation. There are 2 smallish heated pools, a jacuzzi & gym but we didn't use them.

Beachfront with fires going at night so you can sit and admire the stars while listening to the ocean--great location, comfortable room. Highly recommended.

“Great place to stay at San Simeon”

This is a great place to stay when visiting Hearst Castle at San Simeon. What most impressive is that it has its own beach with great views. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is very clean and the property is well maintained. Although the price is on the high side compared to other surrounding hotels/motels/Inns, it is worth it. I would highly recommend this place to other visitors.

“Great place”

A wonderful location that is on the beach. Easy drive to Cambria, Hearst Castle, to view the elephant seals and all the beautiful beach areas. The room was extremely nice and comfortable. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the pools were beautiful. The reasturant at the location was excellent.

“Excellent Location!”

The location of this hotel was amazing ... right on the beach. There was a large grassy area separating the hotel and the bluffs that the kids could run around on. At night, outdoor fireplaces were lit at sunset for the guests. Service was impeccable and the rooms were well appointed. Close to the Hearst Castle and Elephant Seal beach. Would definitely recommend and plan to return!
