“Lovely hotel”
There was no available car parking space outside the hotel when we arrived so we had to park nearby. It was £6.00 for 24 hours. That meant we had to carry all our bags from the car park. The minute we arrived in the hotel it was good though. We got a free up grade to a really beautiful room. The bathroom did not have a window but there was adequate ventilation when the extractor fan was used. The plug hole was worn on the sink and I didn’t find the shower very easy to use. All our bags were carried upstairs for us up to the second floor. (There is no lift.) The bed was sooooooooo comfortable. It was expensive for our two nights. We had supper in the restaurant on the second night. The food and wine was excellent but also very expensive. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, everything was locally sourced. The bacon was the sweetest I have ever tasted and the sausages were very good quality. I liked the range of local fruit juices on offer and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The cold buffet was not as extensive as some places we have stayed in but what was there was very good. The second day we had a car parking space outside the front door which was much better. The staff were friendly and helpful.
“Great hotel in Sandwich”
Very nice hotel, in a lovely place. Helpful and friendly staff, and a great looking building inside and out.
