Located in the village of Solvang, the Hadsten House is a convenient base for exploring the windmills and historic landmarks of the Santa Ynez Valley wine country. The hotel is two blocks from shops and bakeries, three miles from Highway 101, and four miles from the 24-hour Chumash Casino. Self parking is complimentary.
Rooms
There are 72 guestrooms on two floors. Guestrooms are equipped with fireplaces and plasma TVs with premium channels, including HBO. Other standard amenities include refrigerators, hair dryers, and complimentary local calls.
Rooms were refurbished in 2007 to include premium bedding and French-style décor with desks, chairs, and armoires.
All guestrooms are nonsmoking.

“Awesome Solvang Hotel”
Absolutely loved the Hadsten House hotel and would definitely recommend this place to any interested travelers and especially for a quaint romantic getaway. The room decor was very stylish, the room was clean, and the service staff was friendly. For the great deal on the rate that we paid per night, this was absolutely worth it. The complimentary wine and cheese and morning breakfast though not spectacular were very delicious and what you should expect from any hotel. Overall, would definitely stay here again and hope that you have as good of an experience here.
“Very nice hotel in Solvang”
Hadsten House was very nicely maintained and the staff was very professional. The hotel was located on the main highway through town but we did not hear any street noise or traffic from our room. It is a nice easy walk to the village center so you can leave your car in the hotel parking lot and walk to see all the quaint shops and bakeries. Would highly recommend this place.
“The Best Place away from home to stay when in Solvang!!!!”
Very "motel-looking" on the outside but our room was beautifully appointed, the bed was extremely comfortable, was very clean, had wonderful little extras, and overall, it couldn't have been better. Dinner at their restaurant was worth at least 4 stars. Best we've had in a long time. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Will certainly return to this beautiful place.
“Can't wait to go back”
This was a great hotel! The rooms were very comfortable and a lot more modern than I was expecting. The small outdoor pool, inside pool and fireplaces were nice to enjoy after dinner. The dining room was beautiful and I love the wine and cheese welcome at check in. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

This hotel is worth spending your time. Well kept, clean adequate space. Excellent TV system. Quiet heating and AC. Walking distance to Solvang shops and such. In-house restaurant, breakfast buffet. Nice indoor pool. We would return anytime.

the hotel is great. I can only recommend it. It's great for business or leisure. only thing i didn't like as much was that the breakfast room has very dark "mood lighting"
“Lovely room”
We enjoyed a lovely stay for one night. The hotel is situated at the end of the small town so any hotel is a good location. This hotel looks to have been recently redone as everything looked new. The only mistake they made was making the dining room so dark. We were invited to enjoy complimentary wine and cheese in the dining room from 3-5 but the room was so dark, it wasn't at all inviting. Same room is used for the complimentary breakfast, but much too dark for breakfast. It might be very lovely at night, but we ate elsewhere. That being said, I would happily stay there again. It was excellent value for the price.
“Best in Solvang”
Stayed at the Hadsten house for a short stay over at Solvang. My first impression was upon entering the lobby. A very friendly staff, quick with smiles and joke, making the visitor feel very comfortable. The room was good size (not huge, but not small)and the quality was the best I've seen in Solvang. Granted there are no 5 star hotels in Solvang,but I've stayed at several and this is clearly the best. If your looking for a good comfortable room with great service, look no farther.

Hotel looked average from the outside but the rooms were very comfortable with several unique touches in the decor. Breakfast was great and so was the housekeeping service.
